wonderful , but few doubts what is a GSD sheet where did u choose the co-oridinates from, are the co-ordinates random or belong to the NACA series ?

thanks janak kumar for watching video. 1.GSD Sheet : It is a macros coded excel sheet to import any co-ordinates, it is available in Dassault systems folder in program files ( c drive)& also available in description. 2.I choose/downloaded co-ordinates from airfoil tools website and copied required co-ordinates to GSD Sheet. 3.Yes Co-ordinates to some standard series like NACA ,Falcon, Epler etc., I picked randomly from from those standard series. Hi. Thanks for your tutorials on creating the geometry. I'm having a problem connecting the blade to the central propeller hub on CATIA. I've been trying different ways to connect it for the past month but I have had no successful results. first of thanks for watching the video. You are getting a problem in connecting the root blade (airfoil )to the propeller hub, right? Solution: Using trim option in operations toolbar in surface design(GSD or Wireframe and surface design). Extend the root blade airfoil in to propeller hub and trim the extra surface using the TRIM tool. If you still have any problem in that plz send me the Parts via dropbox or by any means. Thanks for watching the video, Yes, In this video i have not shown how to make a circular surface ,for Compressor/Turbine design , You can create a sketch with circle tangent to the root section of the blade with required diameter, Pad/Extrude of that sketch will finish the job. I have not shown it because to decrease the length of the video and Not to confuse it with other attributes like propeller design. If you Still find it difficult , Please feel free to reply this comment.

Hi, Thanks for watching the video, Your query is how to give Blade angle for different Blade profiles i have taken in CATIA. Make sure you watched Previous version of this video [A]. You can give it two ways. 1. Go through all the options in airfoils tools website /airfoil plotter page.Here there are options like PITCH , RADIUS & ORIGIN. which will allow you to change angle as well as profile shape and orientation. 2. Without using options in airfoil tools, After importing airfoil profile in to the catia. You can use Translate & Rotate option in Surface Design(i.e., Generative Shape design or Wireframe and surface Design), By effectively using those options they will help you to position to the blade profile at required angle.
