I was in a doubt that Mg2+ has confirmatory test or not. So i searched comment section wheather anyone has asked or not and you commented to it or not. So I saw that you said in one comment that it's conf test is os+ naoh+ magneson reagent gives blue coloration and in another comment you said os + 4-5 drops of magneson reagent gives blue colouration . So what's the correct one. Wheather we have to add naoh or not in conf test? Plz reply

addition of os + NH4Cl +NH4OH +Na2HPO4 is just an indicative test for Mg2+ PLease do share the confirmatory test The test i know is that to the above precipitate we add Co(NO3)2 solution and dip a filter paper in it and burn it , we must get pink ash but i have never got it .
