In our school it is with h2s gas which forms dirty white ppt Seperate it out and and 1/12 HCl to it then boil it,then cool it and add Nh4Oh to it again dirty white ppt marks presence.

mam there is a step filter the ppt do we have to boil off the ppt before dividing in 2 parts and adding naoh and k4fecn6 And also in school do we have to perform only what is written in the copy step by step or we can do this shortcut

So ma'am i just wanted to confirm it when we do gp 2 analysis with zinc and use Na2S we will get a ppt which is whitish and gp 2 has either black or yellow ppt so if we get white ppt in gp 2 it is right to say that it is zinc ?
