The thing which is way more mysterious is that according to theory poppy is the daughter of the poppy platime ceo or whatever and she says she needs help so she can take revenge on those "mosters".. Mayber those monsters are the toys who later killed her father and thats the reason for her revenge?? And she also says that both the player and her have suffered..I believe the suffered means losing loved once as the player is a former employee who lost the employees/friends and poopy lost her father to these toys

I actually theorize that we won't meet Catnap as this giant monster right away, but rather he would look very similar to his cartoon self and be the size of a normal cat. However, once he learns that Poppy apposes the Prototype, it is only then he takes on a more monstrous form. Keep in mind that Catnap can adjust the proportions of his body, he's a sizeshifter.

My theory is that the true antagonist will be Pierre who took over Play Co after Ludwig. Edit:After discovering Ludwig successfully brought his daughter back to life Pierre took advantage of this discovery. He took over by using Ludwig as his first experiment in order to silence him and now the Prototype/Ludwig wants to tear down every Pierre has made and free all his victims. This also means killing everyone who worked for him including the player

The little critters were so cute in a creepy way. Seeing them with long, human sized limbs touched on an uncanny valley feel, for me, that made them look scarier than the plushie version. I also noticed the stitches on the arms. If they are working with the prototype, maybe it helped make them bigger/taller and safer. We know that small things can get brutalized by the bigger toys.

The character that is being tortured and strapped is Dog-Day, the leader of the Smiling Critters. Dog-Day is also the one of the screenshot, coming out of a large tube. We see him chasing the player on the trailer as well, coming out of that same tube. I believe that the guy on the phone saying "This is what he does to heretics.", etc, is Dr. Harley "The Doctor" Sawyer, from Project Playtime. I am not sure, but his voice is surely the same voice actor. The Dr. was also the one responsible for the monsters, the project being called: "The Bigger Bodies Innitiative".

The scratch on the wall fully says "FATE AWAITS THOSE WHO BELIEVE". Also. That character we see tied up actually looks like the dog. It has the same ears and if you look closely, that bottom part of face is its chin and you can see the top of its smiling mouth. This character looks really close to the dog and i wonder if it was tortured into finding us or if it was tortured for not catching us. Or maybe there are more than one prototype of all those characters seeing that there are many on the statue and this prototype of the dog didnt want to do as told. Also the detailed pic of the dog has cuffs on its wrists. Making me believe more into the fact that he was either tortured into finding us or tortured for not catching us.

My theory on Nightmare Huggy is that it's the same one from chapter one, but under the influence of Catnap, who saw how obedient Huggy had been to the prototype and allowed him to live and serve the prototype again - through Catnap's orders.

True. He did fall really far down and is now in that layer. Seeing as tho the further you go down the more critters become hostile. And the smiling critters are down there. We probably knocked him down there and now he is under the influence and if you look at vis mouth. It's the same as the critters making me believe that when under their influence, you get a large grimace as a result of the hysteria in your brain.

Then they spent all that time working on that cash grab of of a phone game. Bendy and the ink machine ruined games forever.

Honestly, Poppy COULD be speaking to Kissy Missy, but however, the way that her gaze is first locked on the player when saying “you” before flickering to herself and kissy missy when saying “us” does imply that she’s including the protagonist in the list of victims. My current theory is that the protagonist was a worker who discovered the truth of the facility and was punished as a result, yet somehow managed to escape the facility. This would help explain why they are both someone who worked here (AKA why Mommy Long Legs hates them so much) and how they are also a victim.

I think the player was part of the search crew who went looking for huggy and was one of those who went missing according to playtime co and officially was declared missing but in reality was dragged back to the factory along with huggy and forced into a toy wether the player escaped before becoming a toy or not will find out hopefully one day

11:13 pretty sure this IS the prototype, I mean it has mommy's arm and she did "YOU'LL MAKE ME PART OF HIM!" and then she was taken by the prototype and presumably "added" to him the skeleton might be the body of who every possesses the prototype. Another reason this might be the prototype is due to the fact that no catnap plushies/parts are on it while every other smiling critter is, this could be because sense the prototype helped Theodore that it respects him in some way and so wouldnt add any part of catnap to him

13:02 On the topic of “our character” (whoever we’re playing as in the game) being wronged, I wonder if this story is leading up to us finding out we’re also a toy, just a super realistic one. Hear me out, the creator of Playtime CO’s whole goal (in theory) is to somehow revive his dead daughter, right? Well, if you were trying to revive your dead kid, you probably wouldn’t want them stuck in a toy body for the rest of their life, you’d be trying to move towards something more human for their spirit to inhabit. I.e. what if before Playtime Co fell apart there was one final prototype in the making, us, and in the chaos of their downfall, we escaped? That, or we could be one of the orphans that actually managed to escape. Time will tell.

I’m totally okay with the game being delayed it had lots of competition this month so glad they are putting extra time to make the game better. Seeing dogday chasing the player is really cool and creepy that means the other smiling critters could be as big as him and catnap or could be small like Bobby bearhug. I’m sure the being tied up is a smiling critter which means not all of the smiling critters are aligned with catnap and the prototype. Catnap’s long design is great I expected just a regular purple cat. The shrine of the dead toys is really cool. I’m very interested to see how we will play with poppy and kissy as our allies. You would think that the prototype is all about saving the toys but is allowing catnap to kill and torture these other toys. Poppy and kissy being allies is very interesting and they might have catnap kill kissy in an emotional sequence where she sacrifices herself so the player and poppy can escape. This is such an exciting chapter and we could definitely see the full design of the prototype in the end of this chapter.

In my opinion, Dogday is the critter that's strung up, mostly because his ears are shorter than Hoppy's, but also because Dogday's deep sleep pose looks like he's strung up on the VHS tape. The beginning of the game could lead us to unintentionally find a room full of smiling critters with Dogday being the first to chase us until we managed to escape, and ended up running into Kissy Missy who surprised us with Poppy shows up on time to let her know we are here to save them. She ends up helping us and being able to communicate with aids through C3 and what to do, which may be the purpose of the phone since she would be to small and vulnerable to help us. Since the map seems huge, there may be a few friendly creatures, while others may pose challenges. In the middle of the game we might fall and survive which leads us to Catnap, who is like the final boss. When the VHS of the smiling critters came out, I assumed Catnap would be able to stretch his limbs like Mommy because it did so with its tail in the opening. The moment I saw Kissy Missy being a part of C3, and the fact that C3 include the orphanage and school, it made me wonder if Kissy was a care aid or more of a caring creature for the children, even when they were in pain from the experiments and scared of the Catnap. It would have been easier for her to understand agony if she had held the children when they were trying to sleep or dying. It is likely that she and Poppy have only seen bad scientists and a other people performing these experiments and she only sees us as someone to free them from eternal pain because we probably didn't have any involvement in the experiments. Whatever the case may be, I am both excited and nervous about what lies ahead.

@@camestry__6531 Kissy's idea was way back in November when they announced that this chapter would have lots of different emotions. The ears of Critter that's strong up are similar to a dog's, while the other critters' ears are different, is so far the only one chasing us, and yes he has cuffs. I'm just very observant. As a matter of fact, I did find your comment. You have about the same number of likes as me, and you've gotten replies of people agreeing with you and that's fine. We just happen to be posted on the same day sharing our ideas for C3. This isn't a competition, it was just coincidences that we both had the same idea. Aside from that, I have the habit of writing long sentences. I find it to be a curse.

I’ve been theorizing that Catnap is to some of the other smiling critters, as the Prototype is to CatNap. The other smiling critters follow CatNap so maybe that’s why we might see some attacking us, while others might be helpful. Also I had a theory that Kissy is gonna be helpful to us in the beginning, but later on, she’s gonna turn.

For some reason the last thing Poppy says in the trailer made me think that there might be a moment, likely at or near the end of the chapter, where the player dies or is presumed dead, and we hear her say that to Kissy or whoever before blacking out. rn my current theory is the player character is a former Playtime Co employee, perhaps one who had a kid that got mixed up in the whole mess, and upon finding out what was going on behind the scenes (possibly losing their own child in the process if they had one), barely managed to get out with their own life when the company attempted to silence them. At least going off what Poppy said when she was doing her little dialog about the company wronging them.

And the mechanical hand that dragged away mommy long legs in the last chapter was the left one. Maybe the prototype likes using just some of the things it finds, the rest are thrown as scraps to their 'subjects'

I think the smiling critter strung up at 11:07 is Kickin Chicken. What looks like ears could be his hair fringe, also when the head drops down it looks pointed like a beak instead of rounded like a muzzle. Maybe he pushed back against Catnap and told him he was going too far, then was made an example of for the remaining critters should they question Catnaps choices.

honestly it looks more like dogday to me. the pointy thing you saw could be the other ear, just at a weird angle. hes supposed to be the leader of the smiling critters. so it makes sense that hes strung up like that. he was a rival to catnap and was punished for trying to be the leader he was before. which opens the possibility of him being a "helpful" character, at least as long as we help him escape or get revenge. its also possible that its not clear what it is because we are halucinating under the sleeping smoke. thus we cant tell because its all of them at once (sort of) and it will change to resemble a specific critter when we focus on it.

So I did have some thoughts about the trailer and chapter: The playcare area was said to fake a sky area for the kids, so I think the starting area is a section of playcare we haven’t seen before. It’s quite big after all, and I bet that’s home sweet home. We’ve seen that, an entrance to another area w a huggy statue in front of it, a dorm area, a classroom and the outside of it, and a lot more. Also to note, Catnap and DogDay seemed to be really close in the cartoon, so it could make sense they’d work together. Also Bobby is separated a bit from the group, maybe she’ll help us? We saw her crawl around by herself in a cage area that may be in the playcare. That big monster thing is def the prototypes new body it’s trying to make, like how we saw before. It may not be moving until it attaches to the prototype though, so maybe that’ll be next chapter. I think this chapter may have CatNap and his army of little smiling critters help to build this monster so 1006 can use it. This also does confirm poppy is using us too, because after all she is a small doll who can’t do much. I think also Kissy may be an ally since we see her, but I don’t fully trust poppy so I don’t know if that’ll last long. When poppy says “hold on we’re coming!” I think we’re either trying to escape catnap and her and kissy are trying to help us, or we’re trying to get kissy. I don’t think every smiling critter will be evil though, maybe some can be nice like kissy is right now? The ones that aren’t as close to catnap? This chapter definitely is going to be a lot more emotional I think, with the involvement of the kids in the experiments. I also wonder who’s actually evil- the prototype, or poppy. We don’t know their FULL intentions after all. Like prototype saved Theo at a point, but also has murdered people before and can and will again. Poppy seemed nice at the start of chapter 2, but then derailed our train to keep us off track. And also, it’s highly implied catnap is theo, a kid from playcare who was introduced through an arg. Him and 1006 were friends, which explains why catnap does his bidding, and gets others to help him. It was stated also that catnap can be easily influenced by the prototype too, so maybe we’ll have a moment where catnap isn’t completely evil? I believe the prototype is influencing him to help him build the body he needs to move more around the factory and possibly, get out. So while the prototype isn’t trying to make him evil-ish, it appears that way because Catnap is influenced by him. Keep in mind also that the experiments have every right to be mad at our character, mommy mentioned that we worked there, and if she knew who we were, chances are that we worked down where experiments happened; or at least knew about them and said nothing. Marie (mommy’s soul) was kept in playcare and was practically tortured bc of the nightmares she had due to catnap. The things the kids went through were horrible, and of course they’d want revenge. So the thing I also wanted to get to was if we’ll actually end catnap how we did mommy and huggy. Huggy and Mommy seemed beyond help, they had been down there forever and had lost most of their sanity. And you know- it kinda was self defense in a way, so we ourselves didn’t die. Along with fading sanity, huggy probably tried to get us bc he was security, so when he saw us get closer to poppy, he might’ve tried to stop us at any point-even killing us. Mommy meanwhile seemed twisted since the start, but it got worse when she realized we worked there, and when we evaded her games, which made us have to kill her too. But if catnap being influenced by 1006 is true, will there be a way to break him out of it and make him a good guy? Or will we have to kill him too and how would we kill him? Will kissy or someone else who’s against 1006 also die? Will we manage to kill the prototype? A lot of questions still

The “big monster” is just a statue of the Prototype. The shape of its arm looks very similar to the Prototype’s arm, but there’s not any way for it to just slide in. There will likely multiple of the same Smiling Critter in a living plushie form, the Bobby we saw being one of them. Poppy already said why she derailed the train, she wants to set things right, but wants to force us to help her, because, just like you said, she’s just a small doll and can’t do much. While taking the Prototype out then having Poppy take over would be a good way to play with our emotions, having her betray us twice is kind of bad writing imo.

Okay first of all, great video 👍, really enjoyed it. But I also have a small theory about which smiling critters will be attacking us and which will be helping us. So in the shot of a smiling critter being hung and tortured, shb says it looks like hoppy, later in the trailer we see dogday chasing us through a jungle gym looking era. Well in the trailer there’s a shot of all the smiling critters plushies lined up (3:30 if you want a clearer look) and guess what the two closest ones are to catnap? Hoppy and Dogday. This could be symbolism, what if all the critters to the left (our perspective) of catnap will help us, and to the right will attack us? I also want to point out that hoppy and dogday are directly facing each other, kind of like two opposing sides. This isn’t definitive, but it’s fun to think, and to me makes sense. I could right or wrong, we just have to figure when chapter 3 releases!

I know this is probably gonna get lost among all the other comments here, but I think how every toy was positioned in the VHS when they were all laughing hysterically is actually foreshadowing about who's gonna be evil and who won't be. As you could see, four of the others were grouped together while Craftycorn, Bobby Bearhug, and Dog Day were separate from the others. Maybe those who were separated will be allies? I sure hope so. Oh you’re right he can contort his size and shape so he can probably be skinny when he’s navigating through narrow spaces and speed and bulky to use brute strength against the player to throw projectiles and attack potency. And perhaps the tiny plush size for stealth and he grows to his big size when the player is where he wants him.

I heard that Catnap has the ability to shapeshift. He can make him small, his normal size, and being tall. Man the smiling critters seeing Daydog looks demonic and creepy along with Catnap. I hope the unicorn smiling critter is a good guy which I have a feeling she will be. And my guess is that person we heard talking too, could be one of the scientists or the boss who regret what they did to the kids and making them into toys. Also I have a feeling this could the final game of Poppy playtime. ​@janazalecka5972 They're trying to make the game perfect as can be, which is already difficult seeing as how a couple of their members left the team. Better to play it safe and make an amazing experience for everyone than go the Steel Wool route and make it an unplayable mess

I'm fine with the delay. We all basically knew. It's good to want to delay due to bugs and glitches. It's interesting how Poppy pointedly said how they tortured YOU. Does she mean the player? Because US would indicate her and Kissy. What exactly are we going to uncover in this chapter…? An interesting detail was the shot of the smiling critters. Because of the light, a lot of the critters have red EXCEPT Picky Piggy & Crafty Corn. Someone made a theory it was Crafty who wrote the crayon scribbles in the vent chase.

A theory: What if our character was the whistleblower? They would know what was happening, and they would know about the giant toys, hence why they never speak. It's all in a day's work to them. They would also then have a reason to go back beyond the note: tying up loose ends with the toys, or seeing who else may have survived a decade with those toys. It could also be a trap set by the toys to tie up their own loose end with the last scientist who tortured them. Poppy and Kissy may know about how you tried to help, being that you helped the former escape and the latter was potentially designed to be more feminine and less aggressive, but the others wouldn't be privy to any of that. Is it too much of a stretch to think that?

I do believe that whats scratched above the vent at 19:01 is "peace awaits those who believe." Which, given everything else, might mean CatNap believes that do as the prototype asks (becoming a toy/merging with it) is the only way to achieve "peace"
