Sad they removed the actual transformation scene and man all the obnoxious camera glitches are annoying. It seems the last two bosses also up the annoying factor with the kangaroo and gorilla not wanting to fight but keep hiding, running around, and refusing to sit still. The jumpscares are the big, monstrous, mutant animal…screaming in your face and gently shoving you to the ground. This game will probably get better with patches but so far very disappointing

The hippo mutant seems to be the jankiest, though I have only seen this video of it. You can literally see the normal hippo's modal inside of the mutant. Also, the mother's arms seem to be broken in every ending I've seen too. She clips through the door (aka the door doesn't open) and seems to play her animations for grabbing them far too early. My man Doc literally just stands there talking as she tickles his feet. Overall, this does seem like a very good game, it just needs a bit of polishing. Definitely not worth £20 in it's current state.

This game definetly had a huge amount of potential. And what's heartbreaking is that the screenwriter died most likely mid-production, which is why the endings were pretty unfulfilling, as well as most of the bugs in the game, probably. They maybe wanted to finish the game before said writer died, which explains the little memorial they have in the game.

I do like the designs for most of them (barring the zebra) but I am disappointed that the "transformation" is static or just nothing at all, for goodness sake, the mutated hippo model literally gets overlayed over the base one. The interaction itself is really janky looking and I don't even think they can kill you, they just snarl and then gently lower you onto the ground. I wish it was an actual transformation scene where it hunts you or you hunt it, instead, they all just have some random pathfinding that just makes them walk around unbothered. the other animals in the enclosure don't look concerned either. I'm not sure if the game was underbaked but it was a real letdown for me comparing it to how excited I was to seeing the promotional content

i get the feeling there is some as of yet undetermined overlap for the parasitized animals, possibly in their conditions or reaction to the tools you use. If so, that means with a bit of brain we could determine which, if any, of the animals in an enclosure are infected and axe them on the spot.

Probably would have been better if they scrapped the animal care part and made this a more linear game that focuses on tracking down and euthanize the mutant animals in more vast enclosures. Maybe have a score system that gives you an ending based on how efficient you are in finding an infected in a given enclosure. The better you are at finding the infected without killing healthy animals, the better the ending you get.
