I can understand if the parasite just pops out and the animal dies, because how the hell does the Gorilla fix itself from being 80% mouth on the verge of being sliced in half, the Giraffe being split open with it's ribs hanging out as spider legs, and the Zebra with it's lifeless head and neck and with an ass mouth suggesting that it's insides are now backwards.

First night, Paul signs the NDA, goes through the rundown of his job, visits each enclosure, goes home thinking this is a normal zoo, if an elaborate one behind the scenes. Second night, mostly the same, save a bit less oversight and some brief hints of something more serious off to the side that could easily be a trick of the light or something, but still enough to put Paul on edge by the end of his rounds. The third night is where thins look more like what we got, as a parasite has gotten loose and attempts to attack Paul, only for Oliver to save him just in time. Obviously, this is not something that can be written off, and Doc is forced to tell Paul the horrible truth of the zoo, the creatures being studied within, and how to placate them. After grinding up the first unconscious person to satisfy the parasite among the giraffes, Doc finally injects Paul with the green fluid, telling him it will release pheromones to trick the parasites into thinking he's one of them, and therefore nothing to worry about, before the released game proceeds as usual. Does that sound about right?

So the team for whatever reason decided to stray away from his finished vision and do their own thing. Rushing out the game far too early and selling as a finished project instead of putting it in early access and explaining hardships or funding issues if that was the drawback. :/

Personally, I like the zebra’s design because it’s transformation is arguably the most unsettling and horrific- its skull is in its anus, and its lower intestines are being dragged around by what used to be its head. Genuinely terrifying, and no doubt extremely painful. Brilliant.

personally i like that none of them are predators i feel like it initially makes the job seem more appealing to the character (paul) because the animals are generally pretty safe to work with as opposed to working with predatory ones leading into that false sense of security even more so i think it makes the transformations of the mutated animals a lot more horrifying and appalling like this once otherwise harmless animal has completely transformed into this disgusting grotesque mangled nightmarish almost unrecognizable version of itself that is actively trying to kill everything and anything in its sight including yourself thus making it a predator and one that is far times more lethal and horrifying than any natural one you could find in a zoo so maybe they did it on purpose idk

Absolutely not. I am a member of an Algonquin tribe, the Potawatomi, and this is not what Wendigos resemble in the slightest. Wendigos are pale, gaunt humans with bloated stomachs. In some stories they grow, such as when Nanaboozhoo skewered a wendigo with a giant tree log after it had consumed a village, but otherwise they do not resemble any animal. I have read several books on Algonquin myths, learned parts of the Algonquin language, listened to oral traditions through tribal elders, and researched as much as possible on our myths. I have always been fond of them. This is completely unlike any wendigo I have ever seen. I don't even know where you would make this mistake.

the Gorilla, Giraffe and Zebra is probably the most twisted one IMO, with the Wallaby and Hippo coming in second the gorilla has its back almost turn in half the giraffe has its belly rip apart and have extra "bone" as spider leg with the extra-large-size mouth the zebra is probably the most impressive one with the inside getting reversed compare to that, Wallaby and Hippo are both less "mutated" (probably only Hippo, since Wallaby got a extra big mouth on the belly, and Hippo just got the mouth twisted) for the rest of them, I feel they resemble "zombie" than "mutated"

It's a bummer that there's no real consistency between the mutations. Some get extra legs, one's butt becomes its mouth, one's entire torso splits and becomes a big mouth, another gains an extra mouth in its stomach, one grows spider limbs, another gets spines out its back, the penguin gets bat wings(?), the hippo gets a finger face and bulbous tumors...

If I had to rank these on a tier list based on how good the designs are, I'd probably put it like this: Gorilla: S Tier hands down. Genuinely, thats terrifying lol, and the environment you fight it in only helps make it scarier. Penguin: C Tier. I can kinda see what they were going with, and while its decently scary in game, it feels underdeveloped with its design. Wallaby: B Tier. Much better than the penguin. It could use a bit more detail but I like the pouch instead being another mouth. Hippo: F tier. It feels like they just gave up after making the head and just added spots and called it a day. Plus the feet dont make sense for an animal like a hippo and it makes it look like a rat. Moose: B Tier. It has potential. Not sure what else to say. I like the gaping mouth. Zebra: A tier. The thought of a parasite controlling you backwards and using your back as your head is messed up lmao. Also it drags its own stomach out of its original head. Elephant: C Tier. Slightly more terrifying than the hippo but again it feels like they just gave up after the head. Giraffe: S tier hands down. The way it moves, the way its mouth is opened, it all feels uncanny and genuinely freaking lol.

It’s skull was forced and mutated that way. Pretty much its body is flipping over and forming inside out, completely putting everything backwards. Horrific if you ask me.

You know the most disturbing things in this game is the zebra because when zebra got poisoned ,it fix the zebra head become its tail and its ass become a mouth . That was the most terrifying in this game
