I think it’s just cause the fake cat didn’t have a real cat smell like mentioned in the video and I think that cats get real sensitive of strange objects near their food or litter box so it makes sense.

They are actually better problem solvers than dogs while dogs are socially more intelligent. This is because of the different ways they hunt. Cats are solitary hunters, and need to figure stuff out on their own. Dogs are better communicators I think. And are socially more intelligent although not by much at all

The best part of pulling an all nighter is getting to see what kind of a freak your cat turns into at night. If I leave the lights on all night my kitty is pretty normal, but if its dark she takes on weird personalities really late at night. She doesn't act like herself, her meow and purr are completely different, she has a different expression on her face, etc... There have been times where she'll slither into my lap and curl up in it in a way where she feels completely unlike herself, it feels like a wild animal randomly decided to make camp in my lap. I think parts of their primal nature are stirred in the dark.

That's true! Only one night have I slept with my cat in the same room and that night still haunts me😂. Everything was good until 3 am until she started wildly climbing on the curtains and jumping on top of me while I was fast asleep. Also, she tried to pounce on me many times while eyeing me carefully as if I was her prey. It was funny but still a bit terrifying!

It's funny the way our cats thrive on a set daily routine, but are infinitely curious too. I'm a night owl so my cat often keeps me company, pushing the bathroom door open with her paw or 'helping' me type on the computer keyboard.

Lol they play duh. I just gave my kitty an ish load of laser lights myself. I didn't really. But I did put the camera light on this sequenced blanket and the room looks like a reflection of a disco ball I guess & she doesn't know which 1 to attack. But I keep moving around the phone, so pretty much I think she got overwhelmed, gave up & found a stringy thing to attack instead. Cats are the few jerkwards that still manage to be cute bc how small they r compared to some other pets & animals

I've walked into the powder room where we keep a litter box, when one of our cats were in it. I swear they DO get offended that I have the nerve to walk in while they're using it 😾 But it's perfectly fine if we're in there. Then that door better stay open, so they don't miss a thing!

One of my cats went thru a weird phase where she was obsessed with my beanie babies/plushie collection. One morning I woke up to find my rather large Coca Cola plushie polar bear (I have a retro diner themed kitchen) somehow removed from the highest shelf and placed intentionally on the kitchen counter. It was standing up correctly right in the middle of the counter. I seriously wondered for a moment if someone had broken into my house and placed it there, it was SO strange... Nope, it was just my cat! She would also climb on the shelves in the middle of the night, knock over all the plushies, and drag them around the house. I would wake up to what looked like a murder scene with a dozen plushies all over the floor. She would carry them into the bedroom and leave them next to my bed as an offering. One day she just suddenly stopped doing it! Lol

Thank you for the video! It’s interesting to get better understanding of what this animal called cat really is. Cats are more territorial than social, right? So, that’s what he does - he checks every corner of the territory available for him. Even the place where he put the most attention is the entrance - too many smells there going from the outside, so it’s worth to leave as much as possible of his own smell to reassure the territory is claimed.
