The only explanation that I have to understand why this song fits so well with catradora it's not only because of the lyrics, but the background sound... the sounds of whistling and howls fitting with the wild atmosphere that Catra carry with herself, it's so beautiful and yet is so savage ♥ I love it. Also... I started and finished this in two days and then I started to search for amvs and this is the best one so far!!!!

The writing strongly suggests Catra will get a redemption arc. She’s set up as this hurt, abused, broken girl that lashes out because she internalizes her supposed weakness in comparison to Adora. When Adora leaves, Catra thinks she’s lacking in some way to these complete strangers, and having someone you grew up next to just ditch you in the company of a manipulative bastard who will punish you for your friend’s leaving is just not a great feeling. This frames Catra not as a bad person, but as a puppet for the Shadow Weaver. SW will 100% NOT get a redemption arc because of the manipulating, lying, and abuse, but I can almost guarantee that the show, wanting to help people who have experienced the same hurt that Catra did, will redeem Catra to tell those people that things will be okay. The other situation, where she doesn’t get a redemption arc, is strongly suggestive of the lesson “if you’re hurt by something out of your control and you lash out in fear, you are unredeemably evil and deserve unhappiness,” which is *a bit* problematic.
