Vintage Soul is my fav too. I think it's the most unique color story in our drugstores. We don't have brands like Milani, Bh or LA Girl in the drugstores, it's only Essence, Catrice, wnw, Rimmel, Loreal etc.

I'm glad that Catrice has sorted their formulation of their eyeshadow. As much as I like the quality of these slim palettes, for me they are missing a bit of oompf, I'd like to see more difference in the colour stories and more dept in the pop of colour they put in these palettes. But great review and glad you were able to include the new one.

Yeah the color stories are still safe even if they are a tad more adventurous. I wish Catrice would be a bit more daring in their shade selection now that they do much better shadow quality than ever before.

I have the first three of these palettes. The Vintage Soul is my favourite but the Next Gen Nudes is what I reach for if I want a rosy toned look. Thanks for the reviews, looks you created and recommendations.

Hi Maaike I bought the lavender breeze and I have ultra pale/cool toned skin, so it does work on me. I bought it for the lighter shades and as a companion to the viseart violette entendu. The violette is a beautiful palette, but it doesn't have any pale shades and I need those to keep my daytime eye look soft. The Catrice shimmers are a bit too glittery for me, but the mattes are fine and the variation in those very light shades does show up on me. For the looks I get from it (paired with a different shimmer) it is working for me and I'm happy enough with it. At 49 I don't do glitter and this makes the shimmers not something I'll really use - I like a metallic shade, a shimmer or a pearlescent shade (no glitter) on the lid and the viseart violette or lilas both pair with this palette for shimmers. The viseart and lilas both suffer from a lack of pale shades this provides me with. I don't think I need any of the others, although the vintage soul colour story appeals for Autumn/Winter and is still available on the UK site I buy my Catrice products. I do however have those burgundy tones in a tarte palette and the khakis in an IT cosmetics full face fold up palette. .I believe I could achieve a very similar look from palettes I already own. I don't regret buying the lavender breeze, as it saves me rummaging around for singles to provide the light tones some of my palettes are somewhat lacking. Best wishes.

The shimmers in the Catrice are a bit chunkier indeed, but at this price point the shimmers are quite decent. I much prefer the shimmer formula in the 5 in a box palettes though.

Same story here :) for my pale skin - Lavender breeze is perfect set of light tones for quick daily look. One of my favourites. All most popular pallettes are normally way to dark for me and give me really dramatic look, with Lavender breeze I achieve daily soft glam :)

Is it possible they're simply reformulating the Neon earth since they're going Vegan? Since it has orange tones it might contain some non vegan red pigments namely Carmine. In my country only the first 3 palettes are available, but I really want the last one they came out with.

Nah it's gone and if they reformulate it will be released under a different name. But Catrice simply discontinues products every 6 months to make space for new things.

Yeah I think the Lavender really only works on pale skin tones.
