Gday Guys! It’s Ron from Sydney Australia. Just like Catriona I’m also a Filo-Australian. As you guys are wondering. Why she said Kapunka! ( Thank You in Thai ) After her statement. She just want to show respect to the Thai People. But in Tagalog thank you is “Salamat” just like in Malay. Because Tagalog is a combination language of Spanish & Malay. So when we say Hello. We say Kamusta which is the Tagalog for Como Esta? Most Filipinos like I do. We can count and tell the time in Spanish. Uno dos tres up to Siento, Mil, Milliones etc. as to time we say ala una dos, tres, Quattro., Cinco Saes, Siete, Ocho, Nieve, Diez. Onse. Dose. Or Ala Una Media por la Tarde ( 1:30pm ). And most Filipinos eat Spanish Food not Asian food. Like Adobo, Arroz Caldo, Menudo, Tapas, Carne, Lechon is very common in the Philippines and enpanada.
