Reaction of restaurant diners at Gerry’s Grill in Cerritos, CA when Miss Philippines Catriona Gray was adjudged winner of 2018 Miss Universe! Miss South Africa was 1st runner up while Ms Venezuela places 3rd. The Philippines has won the Miss Universe title 4 times. Previous winners are Gloria Diaz (1969), Margie Moran (1972), and Pia Wurtzbach, who was controversially crowned in 2015 after host Steve Harvey incorrectly named Ms Colombia as winner to the shock of viewers!

This video was very disappointing to watch to say the least. There was no excitement or enthusiasm within the crowd. Even the clapping was boring as hell. The fact that they were in a Filipino Restaurant made it even worser because i could understand if they were in American Restaurants then of course they would have to contained all that excitement. i'ved seen better in American Restaurants where they go nuts and scream like crazy when their SuperBowl Football team wins and most Americans are crazy football fans. i bet if Manny Pacui won the crowd would have been going crazy !

Not all people in the restaurant are filipinos, syempre kailangan din nila e-respect yung mga tao inside the restaurant. Alangan naman magsisigaw sila, magtatatalon sa tuwa... they are happy inside for sure and that's enough, you don't need to go wild esp if you're in a public place. :) If dito satin, it's okay, pero there are places kasi na it's not, kaya let's just respect the place and the people. :)

no, i don’t have. it was not really a viewing party. it was a happy accident. the restaurant surrounded the place with screen monitors and aired the show. everyone were having dinner as the show was progressing and were applauding everytime ms. philippines would appear. most of the people stayed after dinner to wait for the conclusion of the pageant and i only thought of recording the crowd’s reaction when they were about to announce the winners. i thought the reaction of the crowd was decent. it was not uproarious or boisterous like the others but every table were quite excited for catriona gray. i respect all the comments here. it is the nature of social media although some of us need to be reminded that we all share the same platform and comments could be negative without getting vicious. catriona told us in her winning answer that we should always strive to be grateful and to foster positivism in everything we do. i do not see that in some of the comments here by our countrymen. peace and love to all.

Some filipinos are very close-minded indeed based on the comment section. Alangan naman mag tutumbling, tatalon, at sisigaw sila??? Nasa restaurant sila. Hindi naman nila pinili kung manonood sila ng Miss Universe eh. That is the restaurant’s fault. Plus, not all of the costumers are filipinos. Respect the other costumers too. And, nasa USA sila which most people are not a fan of pageants. Okay lang if nasa bahay sila, but they are in a restaurant. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I've watched Fifa World Cup Finals and Pacquiao fight sa restaurant and bar na nagwawala mga tao. Hahhaha well, this is Miss Universe, not everyone went there to watch and celebrate. Dito nyo makita na sa ibang bansa may disiplina na ang mga pinoy kase alam nila na hindi subra angas nila. Kaya nga sa ibang bansa tiklop mga Sunday at bunton ng pinoy institute sila ng GMRC. Sa pinas lang naman wala ng GMRC at disiplina eh kaya di masisisi na nasusuklam mga ibang pinoy pag umuuwi kase syempre nanay na sila sa maayos na pag ugali at magiging ugali narin nila ang naging disiplinado, but not all. Meron pa din mala Judas at barbaric sa pag uugali yung pocket naka pag USA mayabang na kahit bagger sa Costco ang trabaho. Pinoy mentality nga naman. FYI din hindi big deal ang ms. U show sa ibang bansa like USA kase they feel that there's way more important shows to watch. Mas important ang Olympics kase sport oriented mga Americans and they give overwhelming support for athletes which unfortunately not a priority of the Philippine government. Hopefully we fo us on athletes more than beauty pageants. Sports is a very good hobby to hone skills in sports; ang sabi mga eh, beauty pageants are very 3rd world type of competition. Oh well...
