My Siamese mix follows me everywhere I go. He talks and talks, he purrs like a motor boat and climbs all over you and licks the heck outta you. He does well when it's bed time, but for the rest of the day, it's like you take longer to finish things, even the simple things, he's very funny and needy cx

My "Traditional Blue" Kit passed away only a few days ago, on the 18th. He was nearly 16, def, blind and had a mass behind his eye. He was the most amazing, intelligent, loving, friendly, cuddling cat I have ever met! He greeted me at the door every day, he was always in my arms or on my shoulder, slept next to me each night with all 4 paws in my hand. He was an indoor kitty but loved going for walks on a leash. He never did the "alligator death roll" that most cats do when on a leash. he loved to have his tummy rubbed and would roll over like a baby and reach for my hand to pet him. He was my baby, mysopretty, my Kit and my heart is broken. I will miss him for ever. We do also have a Chocolate point who is less than a year. He is not as affectionate as Kit was, but he's getting there. Siamese are the most amazing breed.

My mother had a chocolate point, the best cat she ever owned, loved to meow constantly, died at age 12 which broke her heart, she never replaced him and that was back in 1994.

I recently put down my siamese who was an astounding 19 years old and all I can say his that they have little to no health problems and very friendly and get along with family great. The noise becomes just white noise after a while so that doesn't become a problem. I would recommend this breed!

I think they forgot to mention that Traditional siamese can get very fat easily. My friend and I both have one, and they get very fat compared to most other cats I've seen. But yes the meowing thing! it's so adorable she meows every time she sees me, she is very friendly and likes to sleep with me too. and sometimes I see her mouth look like it's smiling when she's with me. the only thing is that it's hard to sleep if she's not in the same room with me because she will meow like 17 times in a row and not stop until I get her and then she just crawls on my face and jumps off the bed XD And they do live very long too, my kitteh's mum was 23 last I saw her and still going strong.

Every single Siamese that I have ever encountered (4 or 5 cats) that have not been chocolate point - long haired breeds have only liked their masters and no one else. The mere sight of me or other sent them into a rage.

The picture of the monk is Korean (I believe), the first monastery is Tibetan, the second monastery appears Chinese, and the first map is not Thailand or ancient Siam, that's China. Basic research skills for a 101 video series are completely lacking. Lovely cats though.

Man, we used to have the most beautiful Siamese kitty... She wasn't pure Siamese, because her fur was much longer than usual, but that just made her even prettier. Another strange thing about her was that her tail never stayed straight, instead it was this curly shape, and it stayed like that her entire life. She was so sweet, and she had the adorable habit of touching noses with people. She lived to be a very old kitty, but she started getting sick and we had to put her down along with her sister, Zoey, who wasn't well either. R.I.P Doozie and Zoey, two of the sweetest cats ever :)

I have a siamese/birman mix named O'Malley, and he mostly "talks" when he wants attention, is bored or if he is put outside the door... Or, it's not really talking, it's more yowling and it gets really annoying if you can't give him what he wants in that instant. But he is really smart and affectionate! He can fetch and is generally a fast learner!

Let's not forget, this breed usually has quite a dominant character - while generally very pleasant they can be quite a pain, especially around other cats.

i have a siamese mix, he looks more like the traditional but hes fluffy. he has the crossed eyed thing but thats okay i think it just makes him look cuter. also, siamese, according to me and the people ive asked, are assholes. mine can go from being an asshole and running back and forth in the house, to kissing my hand and being sweet. they are awesome cats as long as you can handle them.

I have a traditional Siamese named Mitchal, he isn't that vocal in the same room with people but he has a walruses sounding meow and is a very friendly chill cat. Mitch is playful and sometimes( a lot) a little wild. We got him from the humane society he was a stray and 9 months old. he really doesn't like to be picked up by his stomach, and we think he had a background with that, and he has a scar on the middle of the stomach is the back. He is loving and sensitive. When he gets by accident he bring back a grennie(baby looking chipmunk that is full grown) that alive and drops it the goes after it again. I love him and his brothers, Milo(a American Shorthair) and Zookey(Border Collie, Basithound mix)

every cat is different. i had a siamese for 12 years named Esmeralda (Ezzie for short) and she bonded with me, was scared of many other people, the point that she'd run away whenever the doorbell rang. However, when i was touring England one summer, she became very sociable, even sitting on my aunt's lap. I wouldn't have believed it if they didn't show me a picture of it.

My Siamese will usually meow only if he gets excited about something (which is frequent), or he can't find me. Or if he's begging me to pick him up, like he's doing right now. Aaaand now I've got a cat laying on my arms while I try to type... They're very loving, though, so if you want a smart, sweet kitty, they're perfect! They'll learn to sleep when they need to, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem unless you lock them out of your room at night. I highly recommend them!

The colour was wrong...Seal point should not have tabby pattern, that one should be seal lynx point, lilac point should not be that dark, it should be lighter than blue point. Red point and tortie point photo are wrong, too.

What they forgot to mention is that Siamese are strictly 1 person cats. My 16 yr old traditional seal point only likes me. She tolerates my parents but anyone who comes over and tries to pet her she will turn into, what all my friends say, Satan kitty. So if you want a very sociable cat, Siamese are not that.

I LOVED cats when I was like...5. I acted as a cat, I loved to watch cat things, cat videos, etc. My parents finally decided to get a traditional siamese cat. I would of picked a Ragdoll, Ragamuffin, or a Munchkin if I was old enough (I was tiny so I was like get me whatever as long as it's a cat) so they got a siamese named Finney. I love him, but tbh, he isn't as cute as the ragdoll cats I see on the Internet. But he is still my little munchkin :)

Are there other breeds that are similarly vocal? One of our cats that we used to have was *extremely* loud and vocal. If we were cooking something and she wanted some, it would be perpetual meows that you could almost set a clock to (about 1 meow per 2 seconds or so). It was monotonous to the point that it was both annoying and funny. Best part is that if we were only chopping up lettuce and it fell on the floor, she would look at it, then look at you as if to say "You can't trick me! I know you're making something good and I must have it!" and then resume meowing perpetually. This could go on for maybe 10 minutes or more. Yet, she has none of the physical markings at all. Similar, though not the same body shape. And, I think the comparison to a hollywood actress was about right. EDIT: Well, after looking at another vid maybe more like Burmese.
