You have to make it a joyful experience for them. Otherwise they can find it very stressful. But Chris amd his girlfriend (I think she's his girlfriend) did a very good job at making sure they don't feel uncomfortable during amy part of the moving. I agree ive never dressed my cats because i like them the way they are and i KNOW they wouldn't like it at all i bought my girl cat a really nice pink leather collar with a bell when she was little and she instantly took to it with her feet paws whatever trying to pull it off so it ended up in drawer never used its obvious cole n marmalade are very loved indeed and taken the best care of

I'll be moving this year & just bookmarked their site!! I don't have a whole lot after losing everything in a fire a few years ago, but what me and my Leela DO have, is coming with us!! (My kids were trying to talk me into leaving & donating everything-can't do that!! At my age, I've already lost enough AND I certainly refuse to give up all of Leela's special "furniture". I'm finally getting a smart phone this week and plan on taking a bunch of videos-once I figure it out 😂 Everyone will get to see what WE do with boxes...it's getting to the point I can barely walk in our hallway-Leela drags, even the big ones, around the house until she's happy with its placement. 😹 She pitches a FIT when I try and take them out-but after the Holidays, it looks as if we're already moving I have so many boxes laying around!! Having boxes be all one size is super handy for moving, but they are expensive to buy! I'm with typo, someone will be thrilled to buy these. Rooting around at stores is a lot harder now as many stores use reusable plastic bins to ship.

I just read an article about a study that was done providing cardboard boxes for cats in shelters. The cats who got the cardboard boxes were less stressed out because they had boxes to sort of hide in. Then there's always recycling. Love Cole & Marmalade!

+Cole and Marmalade my cat had around 6 litters of kittens and then her kittens had kittens and they had kittens ect, and I thought my parents were taking them to the humane society for years but they just got them all put down because the older litters got feral because they lived outside and now two of my cats just had babies and they're all getting sick and dying. :( some weeks they go without food, so I just feed them my leftovers when I can. I feel like a horrible cat mom. do you know of any place where I can take the babies for free and where they won't get put down?

Now that you're in a house in a quiet area, you can let them outside; but you must follow some rules. 1) Keep them inside for 3 weeks prior to outside so they become thoroughly familiar w/the house. 2) Never let them out at night or when no one is home. 3) Use canned food as a reward for coming in at night. 4) Collars are cruel; use harnesses. These are based on my cat parenting skills since 1969.
