My cat had 4 teeth extracted last week, he had a horrible abscess. On our regular checkups vets would point out his plaque but never suggested a clean up. Maybe because he has a heart murmur so they didn't want to anaesthetise unnecessarily. He's improving now but has to learn to eat without his teeth. His lower teeth are there but he has only one canine left up. Some of his roots were reabsorbed apparently and so some were just sitting in the gum not attached to anything. 😢

I love my cat, she has regular check ups, but I am NOT brave enough to try to brush her teeth :D
