As a Deaf person, I could strongly relate to both LuLu and DoDo in this one! DoDo's misunderstanding of LuLu was actually a pretty sensible one, as far as misunderstandings go. My favorite personal experience with mishearing people was the time I was visiting a museum with my family. My aunt told me she and my Mum were going down to the Audobon exhibit, but I misheard it as "Ottoman exhibit," and responded "Oh, like Turkey?" and of course she nodded in confirmation. It wasn't until I made it down to that exhibit myself that I realized the misunderstanding!! (although to be perfectly honest, that was more of a lipreading miscommunication than a mishearing one...still counts in my book, as they often go together in my experience. I imagine it's a little bit different for DoDo tho ^_^< )
