Okay, I am a fan of the original here. The original musical is supposed to be about the MUSIC and the DANCING. The first mistake was casting "hollywood stars" They took the attention away from what made the musical great. The costumes where suppose to merge what a ballarina wears with the aesthetic of a cat. This is devoid of any artistic simplicity. This is just CGI barf.

In the musical its people disguised as cats, so this is like an interpretation of a musical with fantasy mixed in. Its aimed at a specific public but i think it looks great.

I'll say one nice thing about this trailer- The dancing looks incredible. I'm very impressed by the lead cat's arabesque sequence and she holds that like a boss.
