Cats do reckless things all the time. I own 3 cats, and they are trolling each other every day. They are scared of every thing that move they don't expect to move, and that's almost everything in house :)

Ah they're not being hurt. I treat my pets like family and even they're not exempt from a scare. Although I just play the sounds of squeaky ducks and the dogs run around everywhere trying to locate the sound.
