We had 3 dogs. One never begged or try to jump at the counter to steal food while I was fixing food/meals. He would sit and stare at my feet. If I made a mess or accidentally dropped something he would get it first, long before the other two even realized I'd dropped anything.

This is so totally my morning. I have a colony of 8-10 cats , depending on the day, that I feed. One bangs on the door the minute he senses movement. I walk out and clap my hands and the rest come running and the feeding begins. I wouldn’t change it for anything.

I know what it's like in the morning, I have a set time to get up to feed my cats, two females, and they really don't get along with each other so I have to feed one on the ground/floor and the other is fed high on the counter this way there's no fighting.
