Sometimes it comes to my mind, if he would have not shown up, if he would have not chosen us, then these nine years would have been so much darker. Imagine, if you will, there's this giant being, totally different from you, towering and looking looking down, making noises you do not understand, reaching out with a huge hand. Instead of feeling pain and being eaten alive, you just get gently picked up and it starts to pat your head, feeds you and let's you sleep in a warm and dry place. I hate people as much as anyone. Oh, now I've got a story. Literally a couple of weeks ago, I started seeing this cat on the streets. I could tell it was a female, she's orange and black on the sides and on the back and she's got white tummy and paws. She meowed at me, getting my attention and then I started bringing her cat food. Then I noticed a pattern: during the morning and the whole day, she would hide somewhere for a cat siesta of sorts (it gets pretty hot out here during the summer and this is Stavropol, Russia) and she comes out to the exact same spot during the evening, waiting for me. I also began to notice that, her fur wasn't properly groomed, which meant that she's not just an outside housecat. Literally 3 days ago, she approached me and started rubbing herself against my legs for way too long for it to be just a greeting. I knew that she was choosing me, so I came home told my folks (grandpa and grandma) that this cat needs help and the day before yesterday, my grandpa bought various cat foods, a bowl for her to eat and drink (it's one of those conjoined bowls, where the line between the food and drink bowl is distinctive) and even a cat litter. In the evening, grandpa and I baited her with cat food in a pet carrier and she went in and we then took her to the vet clinic that is literally across the street from where we live. The vet examined her and said that the vet dentist has to take a look at her tooth gums because they were red and possibly in need for surgical intervention, that along with a scar inside of her mouth, that now has been treated. She's staying at the vet clinic, but will be discharged in a couple of days, so we plan to foster her until we can get her a forever home. My grandma says nowadays that her cat God had helped her by having me rescuing her. By the way, her name is Frazy and she was super well-behaved with the doctors, meaning that she most likely had a family once as a kitten, but when she got slightly older (she's 1 year old) they abandoned her on the streets and it was a miracle that I came along and decided to help her. Don't worry, I visit her daily and the nurses have nice things to say about her behavior and condition.

Happened to me. Little 8? week old tuxedo kitty showed up in front of my kitchen window. It was dirty, full of fleas, messed up hip, and needed love... so I named after my mechanic. The newcomer, Coli(n), would not let me approach him for 6 weeks. I told him, "Sorry, but you are to be gone because I'm uncertain what issues you have and may harm 'Skitty."
