Wow, It is neat to see what your college dorm looks like, I actually have never been to college and it looks like they set you up pretty nicely! Very cool, I really like that little court yard outside of your window! I am just creepy like that haha I love staring out windows! It is crazy that you guys have to share bathrooms and showers! But I bet you are going to have an awesome year!

I didn't expect anyone from the beauty community to really watch this, so it's always a pleasant surprise when people take an interest in my life beyond the makeup hehe. It is deeefinitely a livable space, though it can get challenging when you live so close to so many other students. It can get noisy but I genuinely do like dorm life a lot :) hahah yesss, especially since I was on the first floor, you get a really good view of the courtyards outside. The quads have lovely grassy areas, and there are always so many students around during the school year (I filmed this after most people had left campus so it was very empty). Thank you again for watching; it truly means a lot! :)

You are so welcome! I am always so curious to see what other people lives are like to I love seeing vlogs and things like that! I have always heard a lot about college and dorm life, and I can imagine it being pretty rough dealing with lots of other students, especially when you are trying to sleep and theyre up late or early! haha Sometimes I swear I am an old woman in a 24 year old body! Like "DAMN KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN :p" But I am glad you love it! I definitely think it is so worth it to go to college and get an education so I am super proud of you! and First floor living would definitely be the best! Your Dearest Danielle Ahh yes, I am attracted to a channel by beauty-related content, but it just makes me feel so much more engaged when I see the vlogger's life! It's cool to see that there's a person behind the makeup hehe :) omfg yes, it's especially hard when I have obligations on a weekend but people are partying eek. In that sense, it'll be kinda nice to eventually have my own place haha, but it's definitely something to be experienced :3 Oh man though, I totally understand; like, I need my sleep okay, partying is not important right now haha ;) Ahhh why did I say first floor, I meant third floor! xD The third floor was SUUUPER rough, but I will be living somewhere new next year (phew!). My dorm next year is up, like, half of a flight of stairs, so that will be AMAZING. I was on the first floor my sophomore year and moving in/out was delightful. Great video lovely, I am not going to college but it was actually interesting for me to see what the dorms are like anyway, especially since I am in a different country. It all looks pretty good, apart from the bathrooms, the shared showers would give me anxiety lol, but then you said that there is usually only one person at a time, so I guess it's not too bad :) I hope a lot of people get to see this video, because I'm sure it will be reassuring and helpful to people. :) x x x

MightAndMakeup Ahh yes, I would be soso interested in seeing how they are in another country! Maybe I'll have to go youtube searching haha :) Yeah, I was soo lucky my first year. I was in a building with private bathrooms. Like, I had to share it with three other girls but it was the typical sort of bathroom set up you'd have in a house, with one toilet, one tub, and two sinks, where only one person would be in there at a time. But the communal bathrooms aren't even too bad once you get used to them, and this is coming from someone who SWORE she would never share a communal bathroom in college when she was in high school haha. Ahh I hope so too! I posted it in my college's tag on tumblr and am also hoping some first years might run across it in a random youtube search. You are soso amazing, and I truly appreciate that you take the time to watch all my videos, even when they aren't directly relevant to you :)

Super helpful! I think I'm actually going to be living in that same hall that you were walking threw this year! My mom toured and sent me videos of everything and I was really worried about the showers but this made me feel a lot better!

Ahh I'm so glad this was helpful! If you happen to be in another one of the Quads, they're set up a little bit differently but the general amenities are the same. The showers were probably my least favorite part of living in the Quads but they weren't nearly as bad as I thought they'd be! People generally only shower one at a time (since that's more comfy for everyone), and I never used a shower stall right next to another person. Everyone has the same general nervousness about the showers so people tend to be very respectful about them! I'm a few years out of Knox but I'm happy to answer any other questions you may have to the best of my ability :) Best of luck with your college experience!!!

hey! is a only girls floor? I'm aware that each building is different depending on how the genders are being divided. When i was staying an overnight in knox, i was in a floor where both genders are being shared, so there's two separate bathrooms

Jeffrey Leon Yes, this floor in particular was a girls only floor. Like you said, there's a lot of variety in the Quads as to how the gender separation breaks down; co-ed by room, co-ed by suite, co-ed by floor, etc. I have only lived in all-girls first year areas so I am not familiar with how co-ed areas are set-up, but the separate bathrooms make sense. :3
