I put about 25+ hours into Cattails a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. And as someone who usually doesn't go for having a hunger meter.

This one has been in the back of my Switch backlog, especially because of the hunger system (which is something that I'm not comfortable with). I'm interested in the exploration part, but your description of it isn't very enticing either. I'll play it one day, sure... but not yet.

This is actually a game that we have on our switch. We've had it for some time now. Unfortunately it wasn't as easy to play as I was hoping for. I don't feel like it has as casual of a game play as most reviewers say because of a specific mechanic which is the hunger meter. One of the first things that it teaches you to do is catch prey. I had a very difficult time doing that and for a very long time all I could do was try not to die by searching and searching for prey to kill but it's actually very difficult. And that puts a time frame on exploration. So that took the fun out of the game for us. Especially because I couldn't figure out how to catch the prey. They would always escape and I would always be close to dying of hunger. Sooo... I don't know what to think. If this wasn't in the game we might of had more fun.

I powered every EXP point I had into hunting. I knew with that hunger system, it would be paramount. Besides, I could sell things I caught in order to pay for meds, so I knew I could back-burner every thing but fighting and catching. It was an ok system, but I did drown twice. Haha!

I really enjoyed the game, I love these Warrior Cats vibes...but I had problems with hunting, took me a while to master it(I think I spend at least half an hour on the tutorial). I now spend over 40h into it and I still sometimes mess up hunting but I won't die from hunger anymore :D

I’ve been waiting for you to do this one! I bought it last year on sale, and I just couldn’t get into it lol I think it was made by a team of two people. Husband and wife (not sure…I could be thinking of another cat game lol). It has potential, but I found it’s controls a bit off. My cat kept starving to death :P
