I got this for 2 bucks on my PS5 the other day and I have to say it's better than I thought it would be. Already put in like 6 hours so even if I don't play more it was totally worth the money. I got the money for it through the Playstation Stars rewards, so yeah I think it was a great score honestly.

I finally finished Venture Kid at long last on November 14th, 2024!!!! Overall, this was an amazing 2D Platformer NES insipred video game that is an awesome tribute to the Triple AAA NES Mario, Mega Man, Kirby, Castlevania and Metroid game legends all in 1 Indie package!!!! Amazing work FDGGames and the rest of the team who worked on this 8 Bit NES 2D Platformer video game masterpiece!!!!!!!!! Thank you Venture Kid for the 10/10 memories!!!!!!!!! Farewell Venture Kid!!!!!!!!!!

Im on Series X and there are no loading times in between room switches. The only loading is from Chapter transitions and they last for about 2 seconds. It's weird that only the Switch got a physical edition and even a "deluxe" collector's edition (which looks pretty cool) when it performs the worst on Switch.

I need to stop buying games for 1 cent because they've all been regrettable wastes of time.

Me and a friend have been binging this game for almost 2 months now, trying to get all the ultimate weapons for each character and trying to beat tier 3, which we haven't been able to so far. The 2nd chance mechanic where you can destroy your own tombstone doesn't seem to work in coop tho, unfortunately. You can find and destroy it, but for some reason it doesn't give you back your lost points. One of my only issues with this game is tier 3, having weird balancing and the runes you can find. In tiers 1 and 2 they simply increase one of your stats, but in tier 3 they also have negative effects, and most of the time the stat decreases are bigger than the increases. I don't even bother picking up most of the runes in tier 3 because they're just overall downgrades, but once in a while you find some pretty good ones. Also, the final boss in tier 3 does insane amounts of damage, we keep maxing out our defense, yet we still take several hearts of damage with every hit. It's doable but pretty tough. We also seem to have very bad luck with the drop rates, we have done dozens of runs with the cleric and the witch, but their ultimate weapons just won't drop.

I am a huge Zelda fan, since childhood, and this game is definitely reminiscent of the original LoZ. I’ve seen and played other Zelda-inspired titles and most of them completely overshoot, missing the mark entirely, this one does not. Personally it’s one of my favorite little indie games, and I think the dev is talented and has created an homage that is charming, intriguing, adventurous and just plain adorable!

It looks similar to Solstice from NES. 🧙‍♂️

I’m glad this collection is available on switch, I forgot to buy these up on the 3ds before the closure so I’m missing out on them in my overall 3ds collection though I did play the iOS versions…. At least I got the entire Legend of Dark Witch series on 3ds so I didn’t leave empty handed 👍

hey community. i'm new to the game and can't figure out why half my archers don't help with the fighting (i'm on the first island, so only getting attacked from one side). am i able to choose which side they go to or do they automatically split evenly between the two sides?
