I enjoyed learning more about Corbett. Watch him every morning. He’s just like so many people I’ve met in the cattle business.

I’m not in the cattle business, but I try to keep up with anything that’ll affect my life. I knew when I read they’d opened a cattle ID tag business in Baton Rouge, LA and saw our then governor stomping for them that the government was going to try to make these mandatory. Aside from me hating mandates on private citizens and businesses, I have some questions-The ID tags cost money, and the ability to track the cows costs money. So when the breeders/feeders go to sell these cows who are sporting their newly mandated tags, won’t they have to get a sale price that’ll allow them to recoup their investment? Won’t this make the price per pound go up and thereby raise the cost of beef to the consumer? Can our US government make these tag mandates on foreign cows? If not, will they stop the importing of foreign beef? (I think not.) So if foreign beef isn’t tracked, why should American beef be tracked? If we can mandate the ID tags on foreign beef, what’s stopping foreign countries from mandating things on our farmers if they make backroom agreements with our “leaders”? And why aren’t monopoly laws that are on the books not being applied to the consolidation of beef/pork industries? Wouldn’t it be safer for Americans to have an expanded access to food rather than a few processing centers trying to distribute throughout the country? They’re being paid to look out for Americans, right? We know the answers. Thank you for all you do and I very much enjoyed this interview.👍

You should do a story on the missing 80 head of cattle from Carson county in South Dakota. To me, this should be an alert to the cattle farmers to keep an eye on their herds. What's happened to the cattle? Did someone roll up and steal them in the middle of the night? The herd were heifer/calf pairs 🤔
