I raise cattle in southern Canada. I am curious as to how the tarriffs that President Trump is going to inact will affect the cattle market on both sides of the border. I really enjoy your show.

Very few young guys want to be in the cow calf business. A lot of us old guys are taking this opportunity to cash out. That's why the fences are gone and everything is soybeans. ☹️

Exactly, get your govt "safety net" on the grain side then put your cowboy hat on and go to a cattle meeting and preach how independent ya are....

The HPAI primarily targets mammary tissue and lactating beef cows are generally spread out on pasture/ range. So there is little risk to beef cows. Feedlot cattle are at extremely low risk because of the lack of active mammary tissue.
