Hey guys I've been welding for a bit and I'm kinda decent but a friend of mine asked me to do this weld on his 240Z (i saw your other video) and I was wondering if it would be better to TIG or MIG this part? I just got a tig torch and need more practice which is fine because he doesnt have the part yet but would mig work? Or would the weld stick out too far? Thanks!

Can I reduce the ride hight just by removing a piece from the bottom of the strut? Something similar to cut of 5cm piece from the same place you've shown and weld it back? Is that possible?

just bought bc coils , i have a question though. do i need to align the shock collar a certain way with the lower part of the strut or can it be welded in any position ?

We can't say with BC coils. We dont do them

@@catuned Thank you for your reply. I am trying to do something similar but with my Audi 200 which has a 55mm housing. It looks like I can do something like this with parts for the E34 5 series BMW since they are 55mm as well.

That is correct. On the e34 with our coilovers you would want to go all the way down.

yeah, I ran across them but would be cheaper to just get a local guy to do it. That $300 core charge +++ makes a set almost $2K! But thanks for the video on how to get it done, will also be wide bodying my 95 540 as well.
