Travis Kostanko I competed against Chris in the guitar center drum off, changed my drumming life forever. His skill is one you don’t see very often. A very inspiring person and drummer.

not that i've seen a ton of interviews with chris, but this video does a _great_ job of revealing his character and knowledge. same with the emmanuelle caplette interview ( i watched it right after ). and as i always say, it's a joy to see you onscreen, dear one.

Yes, I know. You should come and help me with the interviews ;-) Well, I think I found a way to monitor the screen while recording. I'll try next time.

Eheh Sorry for insisting so heavily, it's just it's rather disturbing sometimes. I might be too sensitive though, who knows. Anyway, I'll stop bothering you with that, I'm sure you got me. Thank you for what you're doing. It had never been done before.

It's all good. I appreciate your feedback. And I am happy you appreciate the interviews.

yes, monitoring the screen is important, because we almost lost chris for a bit there 😋 but i think he moved out of respect for your space; i don't believe you were standing too close.

Reeves309 A matter of sensibility maybe. But disagreeing with you doesn't make a douche of me.

I'm one of those drummers that can't count and play at the same time but whatever I hear tends to come out on the correct timing and exactly the way I want it to sound.

ED YOU ARE SO FREAK'IN TRUE THAT 40 BPM AIN'T NO JOKE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE WORKING ON FOUR WAY INDEPENDENCE COORDINATION BUT ONCE TAKEN SLOWLY YOU CAN BEGIN TO HEAR ALL THE NOTES SUBDIVISIONS AND YOUR TIMING, THAT IS WHEN YOU BEGIN TO LOCK WITH POCKET AND YOUR FILL PHRASES. IF YOU MESS UP YOU WILL KNOW WHERE THE ADJUSTMENTS NEED TO BE MADE.IT REALLY HELPED ME A LOT

u probably have been playing by ear so it came subconcious. not trying to make you learn but if you can do hi hat timing with your foot while soloing or doing a fills you've fully mastered percussion
