The sequence when Catwoman is about to jump off the building and looks back at Bane is like a moment of realisation, she’s been a big fish in a small pond for a while, easily outwitting the people around her and playing games with them. It’s told without any words and so quickly, but it’s like “oh shit, I’m playing in the real world now, and I’m actually in danger” it’s so good and is such a ‘catwoman moment’ This series was so much more sophisticated than the newer comic book films.

Underrated acting by Anne Hathaway. I like sultry sexiness at the beginning then Anne showed the frustration when Daggett told her that the Clean Slate project had been squashed. Then, at the end, she acted like she had a schoolgirl crush on Batman. Quite a range of acting in a short amount of time.
@HUNKragor4 жыл бұрын
You realise these scenes were filmed separately, probably on different days?

@@HUNKragor So? It doesn't change the fact that she had a small window of screen time to convey those emotions. It was impressive to be able to show that within a limited amount of screen time is my point. @@eriksports I would agree. Even the Bane vs Batman fight doesn't compare to it's predecessors. I mean the action is good albeit one sided, but he had too much character motivation to kill Batman, unlike the Joker. So my problem is not only with the juicy action but also the logic behind it. The only one I have no complaints about is the starting action scene with the plane. I still think it's greater than 95% of superhero movies because of other things like the justice it does of characters like Alfred and Gordon which no other movie has the creativity to touch upon. TDK would be thr best movie ever for obvious reasons

People make fun of the writing sometimes, but ''Those heels make it tough to walk?'' and ''This isn't a car.'' are fucking amazing, and the trilogy is full with shit like that. I hope the writers never let the comments get to them, because it requires incredible talent and dedication to continously make every scene this captivating, while telling a coherent story. Fucking excellent, even inspiring to be honest. There are moments where I feel lost, down and out, and certain ideas or pieces of dialogue reel me back in to life. I'm so thankful that these movies were created, they are fucking incredible.

For people commenting about how Bruce uses Batman's voice even when he is alone he also does this when he's talking to people who know who he is. He does this with Blake when they let loose all the cops that were trapped underground - he does this with Fox in TDK when he asks Fox to help him find Joker with the cell phone tech etc. The point is, the voice is not only to keep people from recognizing him or else he would drop the voice in those aforementioned scenes. He uses the voice because it is a part of him taking on the persona of Batman. Batman is the outlet for that ever present rage he keeps bottled up inside. Much is made of the fact that Bale (brilliantly) plays three different characters in this trilogy. Batman is the "realest" persona until you get to the end of TDKR when Bruce becomes the real person again. Until then, you have the Billionaire Playboy who speaks with a certain arrogant cadence to his voice and sounds like he just got off the Mayflower - it has almost a nasal quality to it. Think Batman Begins when he's in the restaurant talking to Mr. Earl and others about the Batman who in Bruce's opinion "Clearly has issues". Then you have the "real" Bruce. The rhythm of how he talks is different than Billionaire Bruce. It's less nasal and his voice is more sincere. Think of scenes where he's talking to Alfred and Rachel. And when he is in Batman mode, he has yet another voice that is a manifestation of his brain embracing that persona. That is why it is consistent as long as he has the Batsuit on - because that's the voice than matches the persona (whether he's alone or not). I attach the voice to the cowl. He would NEVER take his cowl off unless he was in a secure location - neither would he drop the voice. As far as using some kind of electronic device, I'm not sure if they didn't do it because Nolan decided against it or if Bale had a say. I do know that he talks about auditioning with the voice because he went home and told his wife he used the voice she thought he'd killed his chances LOLLOL. So I don't know if Nolan decided against doing an electronic option or if Bale had any say in it. But given the fact that Bale never takes the easy route to fake anything when he plays a character i.e. fat suits, wigs I'm thinking he didn't want to use some fake voice box. Ben Affleck used something to change his voice and it took away the edge. I never really believed he was pissed off or angry about anything in his movies except when Clark says "to save Martha" and he starts yelling / asking why Superman said that name.

@@arishemthejudge6780 "Easier way out of the conversation" to avoid me coming back and arguing with you? LOLLOL. That doesn't make sense because you decided to put YOURSELF in a conversation on MY comment - not the other way around. In other words, I could not have argued with you if you hadn't commented back to me so...what's really going on? Your comment to Ninja Nibba reveals the REAL reason for your comment which was to "back door" a criticism of the length i.e. "Shakespearan essay" which you misspelled. If you just had to comment at all, at least you should have maintained your integrity and said what you really meant. My comment is long yes. To those who also like to theorize about this movie and liked it - cheers! This was written for you. For those self-appointed comment section police out there trying to give out "essay" tickets instead of just skipping down to the next comment? I don't know why one bothers and don't care - but the comment wasn't written for you LOL. Update to those who liked the comment and are interested (if that's not you - move on): My theory is wrong. Another commenter informed me that there's a Batman Begins DVD that shows how the movie was made and that there IS a voice modulator on Bale's Batman suit (Nolan's version). The scene explaining it's there just doesn't get shown on screen - but this explains the continuity of the voice as long as the suit is on! Bale DID perform the voice ON SET but there was also editing of his voice as well. So half of all the criticism Bale gets for "the voice" probably should land on those that did the sound editing. Well my theory went down in flames but I had fun fleshing it out. Remains one of the best comic hero movies ever made.
