Until I started watching your videos a long time ago, I didn’t realize fish sleep. Seems obvious that they would, but I never thought about it. It’s so cute seeing them while you dive at night, sleepily drifting around.

Betta fishes sleeps too. After 20-30 min in the dark they zone out and go into deep sleep.

すでにどなたかがコメントされているかもしれませんが、エラの棘は大型魚などに襲われた際に岩場の隙間などに逃げ込んで、エラを大きく広げる事で岩肌に掛かけることで引っ張りだしにくくするためだそうで、いわば護身のためにあるようですね。

I have tried the 6 barred angel grilled on a BBQ in Bali before. It tasted quite ok. Maybe the smoke covered the smell. Give it a try.

Maybe the fish really just spawned and the actual taste would be better if it didnt as what youre saying. Couple that with one Masaru caught being full with foodstuff in its stomach.

Maybe if it is grilled with sweet & spicy seasoning like "Ikan Bakar" or tare sauce (日本のタレ) it would taste better since the skin will maintain the fish structure over the grill. Coral fish with their thick skin are some of the best fish for grilling.
