A large part of the roof that didn’t slide off the previous warm day started creaking at the end of this sunny day. With a little prodding it moved a few more inches but stopped. We didn’t think it was going to go so we we’re packing up and getting ready to head home for the day and then suddenly it happened. This tends to happen on metal roofs when it’s a warm day and then begins to cool down as the sunsets. Have seen it happen many times before.Too bad I missed the other bits but this was probably the best part.
This is a brand new metal roof which was laid on top of the old metal roof. New metal roofs are designed not to slide as easily as the old ones. The building is 30 years old and is designed to withstand heavy snow loads. Japan receives more snow than any other country in the world. They know how to build.
Chisenupuri.com is an amazing Japanese cat skiing experience that you need to experience for yourself one day. Just don’t stand under the roof!
