Dude I can so relate man ^^ But Im half Swedish half thai. I was born in Sweden grew up in both countries but made Thailand my home. I dont have any identity when it comes to coming from a country, but I consider Thailand my home. I dont look Thai at all, so I can play as a foreigner as well, but I usually speak Thai to the locals which makes everyone amazed :3

That's quite interesting... cause I'm living in HK but I have American accent rather than British accent also.

Just amazing. Does anyone know why his English has no accent whatsoever? Pretty damn impressive since he lived in HK all his life. I figure he'd have the majorest Honger accent.

south asians have been contributing long time to create hong kong, even earlier than the arrival of chinese. let's work together to recognize the contribution of south asians, educate the public and eliminate discrimination. i am not a liberal lefty but fair is fair.....

@ckmman2006 he said at his 2007 funniest person in Hong Kong routine that he is from a poor family; his father works as a security guard at a bank, and he went to a local government funded school.

@Romruiel..Well, just thinking it might be related to the "British sticking within their own circle" thing, that's why we weren't influenced by the British but by the American "movies and animations", blablabla, lol

@monster0129 well don't take everything I say in my routine as real. If a university really taught foreigners tongue twisters for Cantonese, I WILL take that course :P

you don't look like Indian. you look like Iranian. There is the Parsee community in hk. they are both regarded as Indian and Persian. good look!

@ckmman2006 what's that got to do with anything? you can say the same thing or the opposite to kids from all backgrounds. no offence but wealth doesn't cancel out personal efforts and talent. there are many reasons why someone is doing well, and family background doesn't always have to do with it.

I think it's worse than the US, where at least you have more cosmopolitan-minded people in big cities - black people have an even harder time in Asia than they do in Western countries. I've lived in Singapore as well as the UK, and the people who make a big deal of Asians in the UK speaking English with local accents have been visiting foreigners from Asia, including Singaporeans.
