at 39:16 the exact translations are as follows between the guy holding the camera and the other person. guy who took the camera: Do I give it to him or Other guy: First, those people are tourists and their camera is small the same as a cellphone that's 1 and 2, this is the opposite of bad, they will show people our civilization and we should always give them a break. It is in fact the opposite, we should be happy instead. It seems that the other guy is their superior and possibly teaching them, the younger lower rank policemen. I genuinely think that they are not meaning any harm at all. You have to understand the suffering the people went over decades and how they developed a mistrust in people from the outside as nearly everyone from the outside has harmed them. They are now healing and nearly fully recovered and trying to navigate through those new and unusual times. I do hope that the true colors of Iraqis show up as we are known to be extremely generous. I did want to say one thing that I thought was funny how I its a bit ironic that an Iraqi born in Baghdad (me) who was forced out the country is watching a tourist video about his own country. Unfortunately I was a young child when we left and I have no family living there as they were all spread across many different countries and continents. It is very sad to be from a place but barely know anything since your earliest memories are just before and after the war. However, It is looking a lot safer so hopefully one day I get to visit my birthplace.

It's not allowed to marry 9 years old in Iraq. Why spread such misinformation at the beginning of the video?
@ahmedalraheem6 күн бұрын
agree !!This was so untrue. You should know that Iraq is controlled by Shiit religious extremist parties (The other side of ISIS) and they have wrote a section in the constitution stating that you can marry a 9 years old girl officially in the court! Many Iraqies are refusing this rule and majority of families won't do that as well. Some lawyers of women who were against this rule were accused of Prostitution!

One little thing (I havent finished the video so maybe someone will tell you later): the 'rosary beads' at 3:30 (theyre called tesbih in Turkish, its the same pronunciation in Arabic but a different spelling) are not made to be worn around the neck, but to hold in the hand to do 'dhikr' (rememberance of Allah) with. In Islam, they do dhikr to remember themselves of the greatness of Allah. One must say 'subhanallah' 33 times, alhamdulilah 33 times and Allahu akbar 33 times (and then a prayer once at the end). The beads on the rosary go to 33 and then a different bead is on there to remind you that you are at 33, so you can go to the next part of the dhikr
