MEKANLARI CENNET OLSUN.........

I was in Türkiye at this summer with my father. We did 6500 kilometers in two weeks. At first we were afraid of the police officers and the soldiers but everytime when they stopped us, they were kind and gave us water and food. Türkiye is a nice place to visit with motorcycles. The roads are also in very good condition. Greetings from Hungary!

I am really blown away at the color and rock formations you have been riding through. Also the ancient history of Turkey. From the time when parts of what is now Turkey were conquered by the Seljuq dynasty, the history of Turkey spans the medieval history of the Seljuk Empire, the medieval to modern history of the Ottoman Empire, and the history of the Republic of Turkey since the 1920s. Especially for an American like me with such a short history! This is the part I don’t know you have done by expanding our knowledge of human history and how vast it was and deep it really is. The Seljuks were a Turkish empire, similar to the Ottomans, but they predated the Ottoman Empire. The Seljuks laid the groundwork for the Turkish cultural and political presence in Anatolia. The Ottomans inherited this legacy, adopting and expanding upon Seljuk governance, military strategies, and cultural traditions. While both were Turkish empires, the Ottomans were more extensive in scope and influence, and their legacy endured longer.

I found Turkish people to be very lovely when I visited. Very humble and welcoming. We were traveling with our two high school aged children. In Istanbul they wanted to visit the local internet cafe. I walked down to the cafe with them and met the proprietor who was an older Turkish gentleman who spoke great English. He assured me while they were in his Internet cafe that he would take personal responsibility for their safety. He wrote down my name and the name of hour hotel. An hour later I went back to pick them up and they had made a handful of new Turkish friends. The next day I walked by the cafe and the owner's son wanted to know where my kids were, he wanted them to visit again.

After 100km's or so to the inland, average height of the Anatolian plateau is around 920 meters. It is one of the highest settled zones of the world. This actually make it hard and complicated to logistically connect the shores and inland. This is because Anatolia sits on the crushing area of three seperate tectonic plates, and that also make is one of the most active earthquake zones.

@@ronaldjackson6333 ah, no problem. The central anatolia is a somewhat deserty moorland, because it lacks peaking mountains. However southwards there are Toros mountains, which are considered to be a stretching arm of the Alpine ridges, and to the east, many peaking mountains that hold quite a snow load in the winter, and thus feed the mesopotamian rivers Fırat and Dicle, or in the names that you may recognize, Euphrates and Tigris, that end up all the way in Kuwait. The rivers it seems, didn't developed a liking for the pretty plain mesa of the centeral anatolia and they flowed to the lowlands of Syria and Iraq. Strangely enough, one of the most acclaimed turkish celebrities is a Geologist called Celal Şengör. He is an internationally acclaimed geologist and maybe you can look for further information on these topics in more depth than I could provide. Or maybe wiki pages could broaden the topic for you.

Your unbiased, genuine, warm and always calm (I do not know how you manage that :)) ) approach made these episodes priceless. I am sure you have noticed that maybe %90 of the comments were about how different they were thinking about Turkiye before they watch your tour. As a Turkish person I would like to express my deepest gratitudes. And a few words for the people who read this comment. Don't believe everything you see in mass media.
