Hi Vanessa, you probably won't read this now, but I just wanted to share this with you; I visit an elderly man in my town who has no family. He enjoys watching your videos with me. He was a commercial cleaner for 40 years of his life, inc. Hospitals and Veterinary Clinics 🤓 He insisted giving you some tips that might speed up your Post-Furnado routine: -place a plastic sheet or tarp over your bathtub to prevent the hair flying in. Shake outside. -brushing the "furry wall" first is a great idea, even better with a soft rubber-bristled brush. Hair really adheres to it & so easy to clean -as for the sweep-up in the beginning, here's a direct quote from Bill: "Geez, I'd be taking a leaf blower to that lot!" 😂

Although not really a German Shepard himself, this boy reminded me of Diana, a German Shepard I’ve had years ago- and how she loved to shed everywhere, no matter the time of year :)) thank goodness she was a short-haired one. She was a lovely dog, the kind you have once in a lifetime, and we got her by accident, too. Me and my parents were on a walk, saw a man walking with this gorgeous young German Shepard. We just passively said ‘that’s a beautiful dog’ to which he explained that he was on his way to put her down- the seller he got her from said she was a miniature or smth, and his home was too small for her- we didn’t really intend to take her, but we also thought it’d be a shame to just let her die. We asked how much he’d want for her, the man simply responded with ‘give me money for a bus ticket home and a beer and she’s yours’. We gave him an equivalent of £10 (roughly the same dollar wise) and had a new family member for the next 15 years. She really was one of a kind. We were simply meant to see her that day :)

Re overtrimming nails: one of my favorite dog walking memories is a pit lab that I had out on a very cold, icy day. She started favoring a forepaw and I saw a bit of blood on the ice. I assumed she had cut her foot on the ice but I found out later her owners had gone too short on the nail. Anyway, at a loss for what else to do, i took off one my gloves and tied it loosely onto her foot with a new poop bag. I thought she'd shake it off and get upset at it flapping around; much to my surprise she was totally happy with it and it stayed on for the whole walk! She never favored the foot again the whole way. I wish I'd had booties for her but in a pinch what I did worked and I imagine she was very happy to have someone notice and solve her problem. ❤

I started watching this while cuddling with my lab and pittie. As soon as Zues started whining they became so concerned and began looking around the room looking for this distressed doggie. And whining along with him in sympathy. So i guess ill be watching this later.

Ha! This is the ONLY thing I don't like about the channel - I have to watch it with headphones 😂

Oh what a gorgeous dog! Maybe it was the Malamute in him that made him so vocal? You are a Superwoman! Thank you for sharing what groomers have to do beyond the actual groom itself.

I LOVE that youre cautious and mindful when cutting their nails!! My dog had an awful experience with a nail trim at a groomers and after that he wont let me cut his nails. Ive been working on helping him be more comfortable for a while now. But ive never seen a groomer be so mindful that the dogs lose trust through bad experiences . Also as someone who was an assistant in an animal hospital; groomers like you make our jobs easier especiallu with sheperd breeds !!

What an absolutely gorgeous dog. You did a beautiful job with him, AND cleaning up. I need a nap now😴

The showcase of the clean-up afterwards was somehow very satisfying to watch, it‘s nice to see a mess turn all clean again. 1 hour seems also very quick for all that - or maybe I‘m myself just very slow at cleaning… regardless, very impressive.

Zeus was such a good boy! He even seemed to relax by the 4th paw having his nails trimmed - like, oh, she knows what she's doing, she's not going to take too much nail off!

His transformation is stunning! I wonder what happens if a person has a dog with a similar coat, but can't afford going to a groomer. Is it even possible to brush all of this out without access to an industrial blow dryer...? Huge thanks for letting us see the cleaning part! I've been curious for a long time.

I wanted to ask about the damage report (cleaning after the service) but thought it was none of my business. Thanks for letting us see the less glamorous side of dog grooming. Your clients look so sleek, and shiny while romping happily through the yard. Their owners delight in the finished job, off they go, then you walk back in to another job! I don’t know if grooming shops are given a grade like salons, but yours is definitely an A-plus!!! Zeus is so handsome!

Just a tip; I think a squeegee would work better than a bristle broom in your situation. No cleaning fur out the broom and it collects the small debris better.

Do you send your bag(s) of hair to any farmers to help them keep pests away? They do that in my hometown so I was curious about your area. Also, when I clean houses with bleach products, I wear a fabric face mask and it helps me not have any after effects from the bleach in the air.

FURMAGEDDON! 😂 Geez, I think those two were more work than grooming a horse. Except a pony breed shedding out its winter coat. (My first horse, lots of pony blood. Winter coat at least 3" long, maybe 4".) At least I did them outside. 😊 Zeus looked so beautiful when you were done. Impressive before, elegant after. But oh, those pitiful whines, LOL. Hearing a big dog whine like that over a bath is always funny.

Would you have any use for a plastic cover for your smaller tub? It could potentially save you time washing the whole thing if you have a weather forecast at hand :) I've worked in labs for a while, and if you were ever worried about disinfecting your shop, I would suggest 2 cleaning products on rotation (as in different active ingredient/mode of action). It helps prevent any bacteria to gain resistance to your current cleaning regime. Thank you so much for all the work you're doing for these lovely creatures :)

I can't be the first one to suggest this, clear plexiglass screwed to that table wall might make your life a little easier for clean up. You are a fantastic groomer and I have learned a lot from you. I have an American bulldog, 97lbs baby that I groom at home. He is a heavy shedder and taking him to a groomer was a nightmare. Love this new channel!
