Reminds me of a character in another fandom that went up and blew up his own nation, begged his father to kill him, then woke up in a train station, deserted and alone for the next 13 and 1/2 years. All alone, slowly losing his mind, with no way out and all exits locked or cemented, doors rattling randomly, trains passing by but never stopping, whispers of voices taunting him. Trying to end himself but never succeeding, as he was already dead. His own personal limbo, where he has to suffer in solitude. With only the taunting voices in his head and the ones of his dead friends, who can talk to him but never actually meet. Paranoid, insane, and alone, at the mercy of Lady Death. As his mind counterpart wanders the land of the living as a ghost, his soul is stuck in an abandoned place that would normally be buzzing with noise. The eerie silence and horror of the place engulfing his mind with nothing but terror and paranoia, insanity taking over.
