Milky what everyone is saying is that she doesn't have to follow any set path, like getting a particular degree, or getting married, or having kids. She should be free to do all or none or some of those things as she pleases. The point is that there is a tendency to think that being married and having kids is the only way and it's not necessarily the path to realization for everyone.

I love how the judge talks to Janine. He refrains from any comments on things she can't help, like being tall for her age, even though you can see he's surprised she's only 6. He frames the conversation on her aspirations, says "WHEN you graduate college," (not if,) and he gives her so much agency in their interaction, focusing on fairness, clearly laying out options and making her comfortable in her choices. Such a great example of how to talk to kids.

For just a moment, the judge made the little girl forget about her shyness. It may not seem like much, but that is going to impact her for the rest of her life in a very positive way. She's going to feel like she has a voice, she will be able to share her thoughts and opinions to other people. And that is so important for a child to be able to develop. I praise this judge in every way and i hope he will always continue to do this for children and their families

And then, later, the girl goes home and receives a spanking and lots of yelling at. She gets mentally depressed. She doesn't wanna do anything in life. Her grades drop. She cannot get to college. She becomes poor. She lives in the streets. The end
@jenjen1719956 жыл бұрын
@@bunniallure it all comes down to the choices we make. Unfortunately that does happen alot and discourages any hope for the future in a child. But sometimes, their spark refuses to go out and it just makes them even more stronger. But that will be up to them one day. Either give up and give in, or keep fighting for what they want in life. You expect kids to jump to the solution that gets their parents into the least trouble, but a judge kindly, clearly asks them to be as fair in their minds as possible and bam. I get the feeling Judge Caprio knows this is likely anyway. Haha!
@saraha1807 жыл бұрын
It's a sign of good parenting that these kids know that it's good to be merciful but unjust for someone to not have any consequences just because we like them.

Every time a child is on this show they choose the middle ground instead of no punishment, cause they think that's fair. Isn't it weird that no adult ever thinks maybe I do deserve the punishment but instead always wants to get out of it.
@barnabydodd89567 жыл бұрын
WhoStoleMyName57683 Fair could be paying the whole fine. Just because something is in the middle doesn't mean it's fair.
@Wayniesgirl7 жыл бұрын
WhoStoleMyName57683 I thought the same thing. He asked her to be fair, and she recognized being truly fair means she deserves a penalty. Personally, I think he should have followed through with her thoughtful decision.
@statinskill7 жыл бұрын
WhoStoleMyName57683 Obviously no fine at all is the right thing to do, looking at the offense and the lady's finances.
@baxill237 жыл бұрын
statinskill The offense was illegal parking. A person's finances has nothing to do with whether or not they can ignore the law.

Brad Young On the contrary, money has everything to do with it especially in the US, a country hollowed out with corruption now far worse than the Soviet Union ever was. But that's a technical objection to your nobody is above the law naivete.
