My only answer could be....If an ex-wife, or an ex-girlfriend came to the funeral of one of my parents, siblings, or children... and both of us were single. I can see getting lost in emotions while she hugged me. In fact... although no kissing took place...This scenario actually took place earlier this year, when my mother passed away. My old high school sweetheart (40+ years ago) and her husband traveled over 300 miles, to be there for me (and to pay respects to mom, who my ex had once known). My ex hugged, held, and comforted me after the service for quite some time, while her husband talked with some of my relatives that he had once known. Being respectful of my ex, her husband, and their marriage is the only reason that I kept my emotions in check, and didn't kiss her. My admitting that, probably sounds creepy to some people. But there's no intention of that, in what I am saying. We were once in love, and I had wanted to marry her. I still love her. But certain things happened, and I never got the chance to propose all those years ago. She married someone else, and they have had a great marriage for 34 years. After decades of not knowing where each other were, through Facebook, we reconnected our friendship a few years ago. End of the story.🙂
