In my place, not a fluffy camel or a zebra the officers have to deal with, there's just a huge python. These types of work are usually for a rescue team instead. Cops don't like to do that.

The chance to get close to zebras outside of a zoo is very rare, let alone pat them. In the wild, you can’t even approach them. As for camels, you’re likely to see them only in certain countries.

@@weekdaycycling Yep. My cousin lives in Texas, has a breeding farm for Arabian horses, she and I are the "horse nuts" in the family. Several times a year I used to load up the kids and head for her place. Not far over the border into Texas is a ranch with a permanent population of camels. Evidently the US Cavalry used camels in the semi-arid regions of the country in place of horses, but eventually they phased them out of service, but maintained the descendants of the original herd on this ranch. We'd pull off the highway every time so my kids could look at the camels--it was the highlight of the trip to see Aunt Patty.

In Houston, we have the Rodeo come thru town. Sometimes horses get loose. I have had to corral a house in a fenced off area under a freeway.
