Just had this happen to us at our garage sale. Luckily we are only out $20, but it's still bs. I'm now going to be doing a UV light test on all large bills and inspecting every bill handed to me. Makes me afraid to sell anything anymore. I won't take electronic payments because the government is now taxing that too!

Ask around neighbors and see if there is any camera footage of the license plat and the make of the truck. I'm sure you have already done this but if you haven't than it doesn't hurt to try.
