Get Made!! Why is it that the meat color is so light from the store VS lake caught is almost a Salmon color? 🤔

Natural or wild trout mostly get their meat coloring from what they eat…small crustaceans and insects. These stocked trout have the same stuff or artificial in their food at the hatchery which gives that the color. I’m not sure why so light only that these trout are raised to go ti groceries stores and average person wouldn’t know what to look for. Crazy though! Thanks for watching

Ya.... that is kinda gross seeing the difference in the colour and the store bought looked kind of waxy on the inside , even cooked it looked more dark grey I found. Come prepared to the redness and brighter colour of the lake trout which looked more appealing to eat even after was cooked you can notice the pinkness to the fish.... Mike from Canada 🇨🇦
