I know you're just kidding, but all jests aside, the cool part was how the judge LISTENED to the woman explain her situation, asked the right questions, didn't get angry, and he honored her late father's memory. I think any judge that is a patient person who listens to clients is a cool judge! I mean, if I were in a bad situation that cost me a hefty price, I would go in willing to pay, but also want to be heard, and maybe even work out a payment plan as needed once a verdict is made.

@MJISA55 жыл бұрын
Marcus Armel - the money sent is never given to people who need to learn a lesson. It’s for the people who show that they are unable to pay and are ‘good’ mostly law abiding citizens. As a law abiding citizen, myself, who is disabled and can barely make ends meet, I know how tough it is when “unexpected bills” come in. Sometimes, even having to pay out an extra $20 in a month can cause me not to be able to eat for at least a week. Do you know what it feels like to see a single mom, burst out in tears with 2 crying babies because she can’t afford a gallon of milk? I do! I also know that feeling of warmth you get when you put the pint of ice cream you’ve been saving up for for 3 months back to buy that milk for that crying mom. I also know what it feels like to not be able to buy my own gallon of milk, and to breakdown at the cash register because it’s 5 days until I get paid and all I have to eat is boxed cereal. Judge Caprio is not a pushover. He also knows what it’s like not having extra money. He also knows, in part due to his mom, how even $2 can change the life of someone. He knows what it’s like to go without, but still have a support system that makes him feel ‘on top of the world.

@@MJISA5 there is a difference when someone is rushing kids to school right after work and the city adding a cars must stop before turing on red sign after months/years of that person driving like what happened here vs someone rushing to go to a bar or a date. some people do need help but some do not. what you are talking about in your comment about not eating for a week for having to pay $20 is total BS. there is food stamps programs, food trucks, food banks. if a parent in 2019 can't afford basic food or supply basic food for their children then maybe they shouldn't have custody of those children. there is NO excuse for a parent not have food for their children in 2019.
@janet56104 жыл бұрын
@@MJISA5 You said it so well. I know where you are coming from. If you happen to be Mandy......there is nothing wrong with your mind. I was at a store one day and a women and her son came in. She asked the gentleman at the register if they took credit cards, which he stated that they did not. She started to walk out and her young son said, Mom I won't have any milk for my cereal. I turned around and told her that I would be very happy to buy her milk and was very happy that she accepted my offer.. I never told this to anyone before this, because I did from my heart and I feel that if you do someone kindness and tell others it cheapens it. I would be so very happy to buy you milk, too.

The second lady was so quick to say “K thank you” when he dismissed her first ticket and kept talking like she expected him to dismiss it. And went straight into her other story about “POURING POURING rain”...and when he asked what branch of service was your dad in,she say “he was in the Korean War from......” that’s not a branch of the military,that’s a WAR. The judge is being SO kind to her and expressing sympathy for her father and she just didn’t have time to hear it or didn’t care to hear it. When I tell someone about my dads I get emotional...she just kept on talking SMH.I don’t mean to be the kinda skeptical one,but I wonder how many people go in with fabricated stories cuz this judge has a heart of gold?
