How to fix P2272 Code: Oxygen Sensor Signal Biased/Stuck Lean (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
A P2272 code is set when the Bank-2 Sensor-2 oxygen sensor reports a lean air-fuel mixture.
A lean condition exists if the engine is getting more air than fuel in the cylinders. (Air/Fuel Ratio is wrong)
P2272 code can be problematic since it can be caused by many things.
Causes of a P2272 code include a vacuum leak, fuel delivery issues, exhaust leaks, intake air leak, a faulty computer, bad oxygen sensor or other sensor.
Possible Causes of a P2272 Code:
Bad Oxygen Sensor
Wiring (Open Short)
Exhaust Leak
Lean Running Condition (Usually Will Have Other Codes)

Just replaced this sensor in July and back having this code again. I did see the wires had been up against the exhaust pipe just before the sensor when I did it in July so I made sure it was zipped clear of the exhaust tube. I'm getting no other codes other than she's gulping fuel...how do you check that the sensor itself isn't faulty outside the system? Do you hear that sensors from some 'zon suppliers are bad?

I have 3.6 touareg as soon as put smaller flex pipes i got that code, no any exhaust leaks

What happens if I'm getting both a P2272 and P2099? Bank 2 Sensor 2 stuck lean but Post Cat Bank 2 too rich?

I’m getting 2272 and 2273. Meaning it is too lean and too rich, would it be likely that the sensor is no good?

Yes, it could be bad; I would test the Bank-2 Sensor-1 and be sure it is good. If the sensor test is good, then it can be difficult to diagnose rich and lean codes. I made a full video, here is a link to one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGrCkIp9qqlgmsU

If the EGR valve is stuck open, that can cause a rich condition, usually not lean, but it may be possible.
