I wish I can learn from you in person, I'm in HAWAII. My training was 20 years ago in myofascial release, with some trigger point therapy. You explain the pathophysiology so well, and demonstrate so explicitly!

Could you demonstrate how you would deal with someone who has frozen shoulder? What techniques would you recommend? And alternatives if those dont work? Please and thanks
@JohnGibbons4 жыл бұрын
Difficult condition to treat if you have an adhesive capsulitis, especially in the frozen stage that can last months without any resolution. The goal is simply to improve the mobility so work on that first...and it will take a while as no quick fixes.....regards JG

Hi there John, I've stumbled across this video whist doing on going research for something that happened to me a year ago. I had terrible pain in my left sholder that traveled to my right. I was unable to move my arm up, if held up it woukd flop back down. I did have some movement side to side. At the same time i had some breathing problems and was i was uable to lie flat on my back. My breathing has improved and xrays are clear but im still unable to lie on back. My consultant thinks it may be to do with the nerve to the diaphragm. I do have more stomach acid which i never suffered with before and have to take daily tablets. You soubd very knowledgeable and would love to know your opinion on this. Thank you.
@JohnGibbons Жыл бұрын
Hi - thanks for the comments and your case sounds interesting - if honest it is very hard to damage the phrenic nerve, which comes from C3-5 and that level of the cervical spine also supplies the shoulder region so naturally there is some relationship there - the stomach innervation is between T4-T9 approximately which is more of the middle region of your back. You might need to chat to a neurologist and get them to fully examine you....let me know how you get on as your haven't given me enough information to truly give my thoughts...regards JG

@@JohnGibbons thank you John for your reply, I really appriciate it. I do have some more test coming up a diaphragm strength test and then a chat with my consultant in October. I did have my MRI scan the other day which was a cervical scan of the neck, I'm so pleased that's out the way as it was hard to lie down and breathe but I did it!! I'm desperate for some answers now as I've been like this for a year now. I will keep you updated john I do think you are very knowledgeable and would appriciate any advice. Thanks again. :)
@1410joanne Жыл бұрын
Hello there John, just giving you an update. I've had my results from the MRI. My consultant said that in one of the disks in my neck, I'm sorry I'm unsure of the name, she said C some thing but there is some damage, a prominent bulge in this disk. This buldge is pressing on the prenic nerve and that's what is causing my breathing problems. I must have done this when I lifted the table incorrectly. She said it will take time to heal and we will speak again in 6 months. I would very much like your veiw on this. I am happy that I have some answers to my problems. Thank you for your time.

So I have a discomfort, pain and cracking sound in my right scapula, expecially when I go into extension. I've see a physical therapist and he diagnosed me a problem linked to the brachial nerve that cause me scaoula diskinesia. He told me that i have to do neurodinamic exercise to relax and release my uppee body, it can be the cause of my problem?
