This app is revolutionary!!! A full mobile DAW that rivals big name programs in every way! Caustic is the best thing that ever happened to me. It helps me spark creativity by changing my work flow from what I normally do on a computer DAW. Please keep the improvements coming!! FL mobile has just been deleted from my device because it pales in comparison!!

The sounds are already (presets) to begin with. At your finger tips you can tweek the nobs however you like.. This is not starting from scratch (creating your own music (although I'm sure there's way too start from dry colorless notes and create originals for yourself, being all by yourself ,everyone away, elsewhere stay. snarling black magma ..if your good with ADSR and stay away from phase cancelation you are better than me. I used audiotool for years still have hard time dialing in sound.

@@dannyhood7433 Caustic 3 is just as capable of "Starting from scratch" / "creating you're own music", as any of the common DAWs for PC. You don't have to use the factory presets, and can sound design in caustic.

@@rylar6593 in fact several times I downloaded caustic onto phones, there was some kind of error and it came with NO PRESETS! So I had to copy them all from Caustic, on another device, but that REALLY helped me learn how to build presets

*I learned so much from Caustic I am at a loss for words in gratitude to the creator.* I was already competent with DAW's and a small variety of sequencers, but I had only scored a few elaborate pieces decades ago in the common and outlandish piano reel GUI's, and Caustic enabled me to do it again but with far more skill, artistry and technical competency. As of right now, Caustic remains my true-blue drum machine for exporting to my current DAW, Magix2023 of all things lol. Between those 2 apps, I can crank out full orchestra symphonies! lol *I am eternally grateful for what you built for everyone.* I am also a melodic death metal shred and instrumental guitarist making me the most unusual of users married to the app.

This is probably one of the most underrated Android apps I've seen. This is excellent software and absolutely a perfect entry for tinkerers like me who don't want to invest a lot of $ upfront but just need something to get started but still be really powerful for advanced tracks. Thank you so much! The midi interface is also an amazing feature and really fun with experimentation.

An amazing tutorial for an amazing app. The app was intuitive enough for me to be able to jump in and start making music without reading a single manual, but there are so many hidden shortcuts and features that make the experience even better without raising the bar on the learning curve. Liked it a lot as well. But I don't want to carry a laptop around anymore, so gave Caustic a try on my old iPad mini. Whoooooooo ! What a BRILLIANT piece of software. Just bought this on Android. It really doesn't get any better than this for music production on a phone. Amazing. On a PHONE! Can't wait for the next update! Feature requests would be: maybe more effects allowed per channel (if your phone can handle it. Mine can.) Better sound quality and/or mastering section? Finally a quality synth similar to Sylenth1 VST. Just one synth with presitine quality again, if your phone can handle it. Maybe there could be a disclaimer on this somewhere. A Sylenth1 quality synth would seriously bring it to a new level as if it's wasn't already high enough!

THAT´S what I would call an overview. What a JOY! - impossible to find even a single wasted second... absolutely awesome!!! - Okay, you´re "only" talking about basics... but (reduced to beginner´s main goals, leaving all the extra-stuff aside) in such a really PERFECT way, that I´d be willing to pay for... Means: compared to the diggin´-arround BlahBlah-fraction (commenting their stumbling arround in uncountable tutorials) THIS is a BREEZE, easy to follow an super-usefull. Top level in structure, with well dosed hints. One of the most comprehensive clips I ever saw on platform youtube - and, having said all that - ... THIS is an example of information-transport, ANY planing tutorialmaker should see BEFORE starting shootings into the blue. The video-concept contains ONLY do´s, no dont´s. Very, very, very rare. (I really wish, there is a price for make-it-SO... you would earn it.) -- Maxed out impressed!

04:30 Why does shrinking it down require a long press if there's going to be a confirmation anyway? Curious and should add answer to the captions or an anotation
@OrangeC7
@OrangeC7 8 жыл бұрын
It's because of how the app works. Just clicking it already has an action, clicking it shows you that many measures. So, we assign a click and hold action. (Rather than right click, to make it mobile-friendly) Does that make sense?
@TheNewton
@TheNewton 8 жыл бұрын
OrangeCreeper217 if the clicking action is already to set it to 2 measures, why long press and get a confirmation to set it to 2 measures?
@OrangeC7
@OrangeC7 8 жыл бұрын
You are probably misunderstanding, you reset it to one measure by long pressing the 2 measure button. You need confirmation, because you might not want to lose the notes* you made in that part of the measure. Now do you understand? *Depending on machine type
@TheNewton
@TheNewton 8 жыл бұрын
OrangeCreeper217 rofl if that's the case what's the point of the 1 measure button? It's not resetting it to the default 1 measure it's downscaling it to 2 measures from 4. Narrator and dialogue box both say 2 measures.

Hey, is there a way to route the beatbox channels to the mixer individually? would prefer to mix each one, one by one.

I'm not new to music as far writing from an artist perspective but I'm new to instrumental creating. This seems complicated but interesting. Any tips from anyone would be appreciated.

I have the same app... But I don't see so many essential caustic packs in on caustic 3 app like yours. How do you download these packs?

If I know what you mean, the instrument preset packs are available as apps in the play store, mostly by third parties. I'm not sure about iOS, but I would guess it's the same.

got it for Ipad today, great app. runs great, no latency. So i play mostly from a midi keyboard vs step editing. Just wondering is there an undo function? Or a count off? also pitch bend seems to work only for the Modular synth or am I missing something? either way its a great app, cant wait till you add audiobus! so just an idea for version 4? an arpeggiator maybe? :)

Hello, using beatbox(caustic), how do you add effect to a single sample__like If you need to add reverb to snare alone without adding reverb to the whole beatbox?

I noticed you used lines when referring to the mixer, they're actually called channels. And tracks in the sequencer.

The only problem is, I don't see version 3 on the Google Play Store. Is the one listed version 3? It just says Caustic Mastering.

So, I have a demo pack already installed but I can't seem to use any of the samples or synths that I downloaded off of the play store? Do I need the key to be able to use my samples or what?

+Bryan Clark : I can't speak to 3rd party packs as I just make the app, but usually after you've installed them, they should appear in Caustic's folders in the respective places for the content offered at that particular pack.

Quick question , I somehow deleted all the original sounds that were in the Caustic app. Whenever I go there in the app and look, there's no files. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app but it doesn't work. How do I get the files back?

T-bone Spice This usually happens when people run so called cleaner apps like Clean Master. These apps like to delete my presets and then brag about how they've save you lots of disk space. sigh. Anyway to get the demo presets back, connect your device to a PC via USB (or use a file explorer app), browse to the "caustic" directory, locate the file called "config" and delete it. When you restart Caustic it will think it's running for the first time and will copy over the demo content again. This won't affect any of your songs.

Hi this might be a stupid question and I don't know if this is a problem or not but when on the subsynth I pressed, record pressed the play button and it's on pattern mode then when I started paying on the motes for my song but for some reason it starts playing other keys in a different when the play button Is on. It does this every time I press play I hope I'm making sense here I'm very new to making music and your program really interests me I'm using the demo version on my android.

When I change note size it switches all note sizes . And when I hit play I cant hear back what I drew in . Is it because I'm in demo ?
