Rent seeking society; succinct observation by Vallabh ji. Many businesses, politicians, judiciary have become "rent seeking". Few families from businesses, politicians, judiciary want to perpetuate "rent seeking" , generation after generation even if their next gen is incompetent. Countries cannot progress unless those in position of power are efficient, competent. Merely because somebody is son / daughter of a successful businessman/industrialist, politician or a judge etc, should not be allowed to get ahead of others. Merit must get its due.
