CAVE?! In my Touhou?!

Apparantly somebody managed to replicate CAVE true last bosses in danmakufu. It's pretty amazing just how close they managed to copy the patterns. Most of these are still way beyond me but they're still pretty fun regardless.
CAVE games are generally more harder than Touhou games if only because of the sparse amount of resources given and an absolute raping danmaku.
Clip 1 shows Hibachi, the TLB of Dodonpachi daioujou.
Clip 2 shows EVACANEER DOOM from Ketsui.
And the last is Hibachi again from Dodonpachi daifukkatsu.

From my perspective, it seems that Touhou playthroughs last longer, compared to cave. In addition, it seems that Touhou is more "gimmicky" (not the right word) in its bullet usage, compared to the carpet bombing method in Cave shooters. In Cave shooters 99% of all bullets come from the top of the screen, while in Touhou a decent amount (probably 20%) come from the bottom of the screen. Lasers seem to be much more popular in Tuhu while Cave loves their purple bullets. All in all they appeal to the taste of bullet hell fanatics, and we should come together and enjoy them all as a community.

CAVE's patterns are also generally designed to play mindgames with you if you don't understand exactly what they're gonna do by way of repeat playthroughs. Its all about the difference between the convenience of home and the hurried pay-to-play-or-get-out philosophy of arcades

Well, jaimers himself said thatvthe only reasons that cave is harder are the abysmally low amount of resources available and the super-fast bullets, SA has very little resources if you cannot capture many spellcards, and okuu and rin have rather fast and dense danmaku I can see the inspiration ZUN had, with some of okuu and rin's spells, just double the speed and increase bullet count by 50% and you got mushihimesama

half of these TLBs didn't have slowdown in their respective game. The first one shown was in one of the non-SH3 CAVE shmups, which ran at full speed at all times.

Cool video. I love Dodonpachi and although I may never even legitimately reach Hibachi, I have respect for the concept of Hibachi, he's a flashy stylish boss with great music. I find Danmaku and Bullet Hell games quite beautiful and artistic! To most people it would probably sound strange to describe a golden robot bee spewing torrents of bullets as artistic....

@AStandsForFrench Keep in mind the requirements that you have to meet to even SEE these bosses. Think of things like "Beat the normal game without dying or bombing, then go through a second loop that's 20 times harder than the normal game" and if you 1cc all that then you'll see the TLB. By the time you're good enough to do that, than the boss won't be but a mere "challenge". CAVE caters to all levels of play and these were designed specifically for insane superplayers.
