@@Aerowind Sure, but it's similar to Dwarf Fortress, a good publisher can do a lot for a smaller passionate team like Brian and Jason (or in DF's case, Tarn and Zach), especially taking care of the business side of things so they can focus on the important stuff.

This game blows my mind every time I play through it. The first dozen or so deaths were mundane, like getting stabbed or shot. Then it started getting weird, like teleporting through an interdimensional rift into a fungus forest where an amoeba eats me. Or having a copy of myself pour lava down my throat. (I was playing as the copy of myself)

This game tells you a story through play and experience. Discovering what different things are without looking at a wiki is an unforgettable experience. When I figured out what the spindle was it was so satisfying and I can't wait for 1.0. haven't played in over 2 years and I'm more excited to play this game than any other. I loved updating my partner every day with new tales of my characters. I miss my bear friend who wore armor and a flying device, they were unstoppable until they met a Rynox(or whatever they're called). Dying hurts, but let death be water on your back, live and drink.

I first started playing a few years back as well, and they have made dinner QOL improvements since then. Just go for it is my advice

We really ought be rewarding the kinds of developers that make games like this for actually sticking with the project and putting out improvements and content. Like actual artists rather than shifty EA game devs with no joy or love for the product. Pay these men, reward game devs who do it for the love of the artform.
