I did almost the same thing kinda, I took a Redragon K599 Deimos (75%) and mounted 205g0 lubed Akko CS Purples (tactiles) on it. Gotta say, for my first time customizing a board, Akko did not dissapoint. Very nice and reliable budget brand for anyone really.

Just saw this vid and I’m wondering if I can mod my old Kumara with the red backlit. How do I determine if the switches are soldered?

If the box says it's swappable then you can..or else you'll have to manually open up the keyboard and check if it's soldered.

do gateron red also fit ???? and can i use glorious stabalizers with this keyboard

only select akko and ktt switches for, not gateron. As long as the stabs are plate mount then yes

@@CaviteTechnology You dont need for it to be hotswap, as you can desolder the switches. Its more time consuming but better than buying a whole new board

how did you remove the redragon logo so cleanly? I've seen someone using those magic sponges but I'm worried it will leave scratch marks since it's abrasive

@@CaviteTechnology oh, nice, gonna try that. Did you use the plastic type that doesn't leave much crumbs/powder or the other one that's more powdery(the ones that are usually on the back of pencils)?

@@Arteecy try the staedtler brand (rasoplast) eraser.

I used the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on mine. I basically wet-sanded it with hand sanitizer on the sponge. It's a little acidic so it helped the paint come off. If you use it dry, then it will probably dull the sheen so it'll mismatch the rest of the finish. I initially tried the big eraser but that was taking too long and leaving shavings everywhere. I lost patience with it.

@@CheapRedBoy I feel like with the eraser it also leaves it dull because you scrub it so much that it ends up removing it by abrasion. I think I'll use the magic sponge too, seems easier.
