Today I offer you a LIGHT recipe! A different way to consume Cauliflower, which is usually not very welcome due to the smell it gives off, but with this method of cooking and preparation you won't smell anything at home! You will see that even those who usually don't like it will like it!
They look like real meat cutlets, which you can leave as they are simply breaded, or as I did, season them with tomato and stringy provola… delicious!
🌡 In the oven at 180° Static - 175° Ventilated for 15 - 20 minutes before then another 5 minutes
📝 INGREDIENTS:
1 Cauliflower
1 egg
Bread crumbs
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Salt, Pepper and Oregano
Tomato sauce
Provola or mozzarella
Extra virgin olive oil
We cut a cauliflower into slices of a couple of cm (as long as it is possible to obtain a whole slice) we will use the remaining cauliflower for other preparations!
We wash the slices well under running water and dry well!
We prepare the breading, by beating 1 egg with salt and pepper we pass the dry slices first in the egg (making them adhere well in all the spaces) and then we pass in the breadcrumbs (where we have added some grated cheese)
We have them on a baking tray that contains them, with parchment paper on the bottom and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
We bake at 175° 180º for 15-20 minutes (depending on the size) then we take them out of the oven (in practice they are already cooked and good like this! We add the seasoned tomato and the mozzarella or provola and we bake for another 5 minutes, the time that the cheese let it melt!A little oregano on top and enjoy your meal!They are delicious!
