The thing about double bass pedals is that once you’ve conquered the hi-hat, you just need to tweak your left foot slightly to move like your right foot. The muscle is already there.

It’s every drummer’s dream to have a video of them shot like this. Congrats on living the dream and amazing job sir Cavs
@BenKingOfMonkeys3 жыл бұрын
To me, Cavs started as the weakest member of the band in terms of outward musical ability (not that the band prides themselves as elite musicians or anything). The 2 drummer train schtick was amazing and got people talking about the band but it was a sign that the rhythm section needed more support. Overtime Cavs has been the reflection of the bands growth and change, as the band grew in sounds and ideas, so has Cavs talent been nurtured and he has grown through (I believe) continuous care, discipline and training. He is now indispensable to the Gizz sound and vibe.. I remember him saying he couldn't double pedal bass like motorhead in an interview, and now look at them playing thrash w/ 2xpedal, such an inspiration! To me, seeing that journey has made Cavs the heart of the band. The band gave him the space to grow and, as he grows the band grows. Its like the band had a child and we witnessed its growth. Its hard to define what I am trying to say but look at his curls they do wonders for me!
@sebastianlenehan24172 жыл бұрын
Well said, and let's be honest, the heart of any band is the drummer, they just normally don't get appreciated. Great to see he is. He's one of my biggest influences for sure!

Frankly disagree, having two drummers is SIGNIFICANTLY harder than having one. I would consider it a testament of a strong rhythm section.
