Section 32 , where a contingent contract is to do or to not do anything If an uncertain future event happen , it cannot be enforced by law unless and until that event happened. If the event become impossible , the contract will void

Essential of contingent contract 1)the performance of contingent contract would depend upon the happening or non happening of the event Exampla-A promised B to pay 100000 if the rain would be in the next day 2) the some event collateral to such contract , the event is not part of the contract Example P agrees to construct swimming pool for Q at 2000000 but Q will pay the money if P will complete the construction of swimming pool . As the construction of swimming pool colleteral to Contract 3)the contingent contract should not mere will of the promisor Example A promised to pay 100000 to B if it would rain tommorow and he leave from pune to Mumbai, A leave for Mumbai is an as per the will of itself but raining is not as per the will 4) the event must be uncertain, where the event is certain or bound to happen then this is not an contingent contract
